This is what the internet is losing its collective mind over today.

QuoteThe Chicago police department operates an off-the-books interrogation compound, rendering Americans unable to be found by family or attorneys while locked inside what lawyers say is the domestic equivalent of a CIA black site.

Radio and Podcasts / Fun facts about iHeartRadio
February 10, 2015, 05:11:35 PM
Via Jerry Del Colliano at insidemusicmedia.com

QuoteiHeartRadio has peaked at 250k sessions and hasn’t grown in over a year, while Pandora grew by a half million more listeners in that same period of time. In other words, apples vs. apples â€" Pandora manages to grow.
QuoteBob Pittman doesn’t want anyone to know the real ineffectiveness of his namesake streaming platform when he says of iHeartRadio “we are simply giving consumers more ways to listen to the radio”. The truth is that iHeartRadio’s total presence right now â€" in spite of his rhetoric â€" is equal to only 250,000 people or one city, Orlando, FL.
QuoteiHeartMedia has spent an estimated $1 billion in advertising on their AM/FM stations to promote their streaming app just to come up with no growth.
QuoteAnd this stunner â€" a large percentage of the audience that iHeartRadio does have is Glenn Beck’s audience. Glenn Beck leaves, the whole thing comes crashing down.

Politics / YOUR WORDS MATTER
February 09, 2015, 05:46:00 PM
http://www.thecollegefix.com/post/21174/

QuoteWords declared unacceptable through the campaign include “crazy,” “insane,” “retarded,” “gay,” “tranny,” “gypped,” “illegal alien,” “fag,” “ghetto” and “raghead.” Phrases such as “I want to die” and “that test raped me” are also verboten.

Is this a joke? Maybe we should just go back to grunting at each other. Oh wait, that would probably be considered microaggression.

Random Topics / Messages for MV
December 29, 2014, 07:15:59 PM
Because his private messages are turned off for some reason, post your messages for him here.

Dear MV,

1.  This is the last time I'm extending my generous offer of $5 per month to feature a Dark City link at the top of the forum. The last time we spoke, you countered with $10 which I find exorbitant. I would consider $7 if you scrubbed all references to other radio shows & hosts from the board, except Art Bell. I think this is a reasonable compromise.

2.  I am also asking for a private cock pic forum because jazmunda clogs up all our inboxes with either requests for pics or pics of his own. Users may feature their own cocks or post their favorites from around the internet. Consolidating these into one location is the obvious, ideal solution to declutter all our inboxes. I'm undecided on the horse porn subforum - your thoughts?

3.  Your interview when Falkie was on the Gabcast was lacking. When he said he had off-brand mayonnaise in his fridge, why would you not ask where it came from? Costco? Sam's Club?? What kind of sandwiches does he like to put the off-brand mayonnaise on? These are the questions listeners want to know the answers to, and you did us all a disservice by letting these details slide. You'll never make it as a podcaster if you don't hone these skills. I hope the next episode makes up for your poor performance last time.

Regards,
Bateman

Politics / Chris Matthews: squirrel finds a nut
November 05, 2014, 06:06:44 PM
http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/392152/chris-matthews-obama-acts-theres-no-other-world-out-there-his-brendan-bordelon

QuoteMSNBC host Chris Matthews expressed dismay over President Obama’s post-election press conference on Wednesday, calling him entirely deaf to the millions of Americans who voted against his plan to grant executive amnesty for as many as 6 million illegal immigrants.

“The people, if you look at the polling, their problem is illegal immigration,” he said. “He says, ‘I’m going to fix the problem.’ He doesn’t mean he’s gonna stop illegal immigration. He’s not going to do anything to stop illegal hiring, which is the magnet for illegal immigration, really. He’s going to basically say, ‘I’m going to deal with them by giving them green cards.’”

QuoteLena Dunham may not like our interpretation of her book, but unfortunately for her and her attorneys, she wrote that book.

All that needs to be said.

http://connecticut.cbslocal.com/2014/10/27/naked-man-accused-of-raping-pit-bull-in-neighbors-yard-says-isis-sent-him/

QuoteAlice Woodruff told WTNH-TV that she confronted her neighbor at gunpoint while he was performing sex acts on her rescue pit bull that is kept on an 800-pound tow chain in her backyard.

“I thought my dog had killed somebody because I saw a man underneath her,” Woodruff explained to WTNH. “I started to scream. I had a citronella candle and I threw it at him, screaming ‘get off my dog, you have to get out of here.’ He said, ‘No, today is the day we are going to spend the rest of our lives together.’”

Oddly, this did not take place in FL.

This is a rumor, but a pretty strong one. It's looking like WOR may dump their current talk format in favor of Fox Sports. If that happens, Coast will probably be relegated to 970 "The Answer" or out of the market entirely.
