Brother Russell here, I have been lurking for a day or two and decided it was time to introduce myself. This site is such a wonderful thing. I was wondering if anyone else was as astounded at George Noory's relentless, nightly abuse of the airwaves as I was.  Now I know I am not alone.

Quick anecdote. A few years ago, when I had not yet completely soured on Noory, he was interviewing Richard Hoagland one night, and they were taking live calls. George took a call and told Richard "here's an old colleague of yours, Richard!" It was a prankster doing a rather sloppy voice impersonation of Walter Cronkite, and using the forum to basically make fun of Hoagland. Just as the engineer faded down the call and they went to a commercial, I realized I had just heard the notorious Phil Hendrie prank call George Noory and skewer Richard Hoagland all at the same time.

The next day I emailed George and asked him if he had any plans to pay back Hendrie for that prank on Hoagland. George replied, "That was Hendrie? I had no idea! And he works right down the hall from me! I thought the caller really was Walter Cronkite!"

That was the day I knew that George Noory was very, very "special".

Welcome! I love your anecdote. But I have to say, in these tough economic times, it is tragic to think Noory is making millions by being a complete suck-ass. Good to have you here.
