If you are only going to give her one chance I recommend tonight because Stanton is an experienced guest and I think she will do well. The rest of the guests she has had have been so-so. If you NEED to pick an existing show, then I would recommend Monday night. The one about UFOs. I think she did a decent job even though the guest wasn't exactly my cup of tea.

John Lear said Stanton is an idiot lol.

I just think the rest of the guests she has had on would have been hard for anyone to interview. By the end of the show last night the guests ummms and uhhhhs almost made it unbearable. I expected much better speaking skills from someone that is a NASA Fellow and a CEO of their own company.

Yeah, ok...but who chose and pre-screened these guests?

Is she still producing the show and hosting it at the same time?

Yeah, I caught that on Dr Js show. Boy that guy really has credibility after talking about the maglev trains on the moon, the people living on MARS and the NAVY's underground tube transporter system.

Alright, HumanBeing â€" I have to ask:  are you Bill Birnes?  Because I get the whole “celebrity avatar” thing, but I can’t figure out why anyone would pick Bill Birnes, unless you’re actually Bill Birnes.  And, even your emoticons wear sunglasses.  Give it up Bill ;

Haha - yeah Lear gets mad when people talk about his "Lear leaps of logic," because he still doesn't understand that long strings of unsupported assumptions do not lead to facts.

In my world of lonely endless nights, researching enterprisemission.com and watching episodes of UFO Hunters, there can be only one god.

You do realize that there's a causal relationship in that statement, yes?   ;D

Cool. Stanton's always entertaining and knowledgeable, and he's another 2 for the price of one type guest. Always good ufo stuff, but I hope he talks about other stuff too--fusion, thorium, the Underground Super City, teotwawki, and so on. Should be a great interview.

Years ago in the mid 90's Chuck Harder had a radio show (For The People)broadcast from the Telford Hotel in White Springs, Florida.
His show began as a Consumer Advocacy format but evolved into a Political Conservative show and some Paranormal as well. Richard C. Hoagland was his Science Adviser.
One weekend he featured Stanton Friedman. For the locals Stanton rented the School Auditorium and gave an evening lecture which I attended.
Afterward some of us went to the Telford for refreshments at which time I got to talk to Stanton privately. I asked him what had motivated him on the path of UFO's etc.
His reply was very touching. He said that his son had a terminal illness and he wanted to show him that there was something "more". I've never forgotten that.

That was a crazy assed episode.  John Lear is a riot.  I don't know what to think about him but he cracks me the hell up.

Is there a way to hear that particular show you are speaking about?
Does Dr J have a podcast thingy?

Yep, and for a scientist he's brilliant at making sensible arguments in plain terms.  For example, I think he's spot on explaining why aliens wouldn't park their disc to have a chat with the locals:  we're a bunch of violent, ignorant savages whose most notable activity is slaughtering each other.  Why would any creature with a glimmer of intelligence think that we'd treat them any better than we treat each other?

Interesting little webpage Dr. J slapped together.
Now I am even more eager to hear the  show.. and there is no way to do so haha

You don't need your fancy degrees, or to be a nuclear physicist, to reach that theory though.
The world is fucked up.

I think they were visiting over the Christamas holiday, and she asked him what he'd been up to, so for some insane reason he told her all about Art Bell and the ups and downs of his career and finally the flame war here over him leaving the show.  And when he got to the end of all this, she looked at him and said "what the hell is wrong with you?"  Haha - good question!

True.  But for some reason most scientists and intellectuals are still asking stupid questions like "why come all this way and zip off; why not just land on the White House lawn and have a chat our leaders?"  Duh...have you seen happens to people who land on the White House lawn??  Would you want to hang out with our leaders??  I'd rather catch lice, fleas, and a case of the crabs, than spend my time with those jackals...

I heard rumors this might be the place to come for less "dark matter" discussions on BellGab...is that true?

The Falkie thread has been more hospitable of late in comparison to the AB thread...

I saw the show was a rebroadcast, so I tried to find a recording of the first interview.  I believe this could be it.

Well thank ya! I'm sure if there is enough positive energy here, the dark will invade...but we can try to enjoy the moment, right?  :D
