Selling to broadcasters and commercials

This  is regarding Mr Bell's decision not to sell the show to broadcasters by allowing more commercials.

Instead of Art using more commercials on his internet broadcast, why wouldn't a deal work where the show could be kept as is and allow radio stations to broadcast the show and add their own commercials?  This would a great way to add a revenue stream to the show instead of just relying on subscribers.

Any thoughts on the viability of this?
