Why would I waste my precious time (what I have left of it) listening to something I don't care to? I did not threaten to "fade away" -- I requested Redacted to "drop away" if it interferes with listeners enjoying the Art experience. Art is not my life -- he's someone I used to enjoy listening to in the wee hours after a gig.

Maybe this thread isn't for you if you're bothered, mate.

Thanks for that, Basswood. I thought the "test" was about the technical aspects only.

I think the "test" also applied to having a guest on the line (Redacted) while taking calls and we saw that he needed to do that to figure out that he's got a problem that has to be fixed.

I posted this in another thread, but it seems better placed here.

I'm going to be honest here... Redacted has done a lot for Art, and in turn a lot for us fans. I appreciate all of it, thank you so much, however.... Having her on the test show is one thing, but as awesome of a person as she is, she has no place on Art's show. I think everyone knows that. I don't mean that in any negative way against her, and I hope she and others don't take this personally, but moving forward without her on the show is probably the best option. I love this forum and I'm not trying to take a shot at her or anyone, but Art should be working alone, for the good of both his show, and his fans.

Much ado about nothing being this is ws a test show. I wish I could've "co-hosted" with Art Bell. Who wouldn't? Redacted was fortunate to experience it, and from what I've seen she has done quite alot to support Art Bell and clearly is an important part of this forum. I simply cannot understand why there is an uproar during the first program...errrr...test show.

Art is quick to act too often. Keith should install a delay button on Art's facebook posts. Give him time to think about a post before he commits. She's done too much to be dismissed so quickly.

"Assisting" someone does not merit giving them a spot on a global "radio show" especially if they are not professional radio talent. This isn't a college radio station situation. Art is nervous and anxious about being back on the air, but he does not need a sidekick nor does he owe anyone anything. If he has lost confidence in himself to that degree, something is terribly wrong.

These armchair program directors who have somehow suddenly found their ability to post on the Internet are delusional. The problem is we got about half that are "if it aint broke dont fix it" and another half that are like " this could be very cool" and BOTH halves are hardcore artbell fans.

My personal opinion is that redacted seems like a wonderful person, with a very easy voice to listen to, regardless who she is with. Art has a wonderful voice to listen to, regardless who he's talking with as well.

And no matter what decision gets made, we should all take comfort in how much work, time, money, she has invested into this blitz campaign. And nothing will detract from that effort.

I am honored to have been part of something positive like this. Pullin all our resources for a common goal.
And it looks like she hasn't lost sight of that based on her post. So red, wherever the feet land, yer gonna be just as awesome and listenable. PLEASE tell me you will still be on gabcast ya?

Cause what I also like about redacted is how much AB history she recalls. Some users on here I talk to cant remember half the shows i make reference to. So thats refreshing also, and would have been a nice asset for him to have.
