I have repeatedly asked Haas on line what education he has about the geology of Mars and what basis he has for the idea that 'people' carved and built giant pictorial 'geoglyphs', but he won't have that discussion. His claims that Mesoamerican connection between Earth and Mars existed don't make sense unless Mars was Earthlike thousands of years ago.

Yikes this thread is certainly slow and uninteresting without me here. I was informed I got a Birthday Shout Out on Heather's show which makes me happy! Wish I had been listening for that. Went to that thread and saw trostol and tigerlily shitting on me. trostol I expect but tigerlily makes me sad. Ah well people show their true colors eventually.

The 'H' man on the other hand has the crater forming cataclysm about 65 million years ago, in an elaboration of an idea of an 'exploding planet' Mars was supposedly a satellite of.  Brandenburg on the other hand pushes if back hundreds of millions of years, I suspect tied to the half lives of his atomic war fallout traces he imagines resulted from a mega atomic war there.
The craters were mostly there by 4 billion years ago, and soon after. A major impact smoothed out half of Mars at that general time, with a dwindling crater infall since, then younger lava plains also billions of yeas old like those on our Moon. Mars has been the planet it is more or less for around 2-3 billion years. It is that immense stretch of hostile conditions that these Mars crackpots deny.
