ART I HOPE YOU SEE THIS

So reading your latest post I was thinking about something and I don't know if you have the right people to see this idea, but if you do charge for the broadcast, which I think you should ANYWAY, then please CREATE A DARK MATTER RADIO APP.  People will be paying for your show but then you can give away for free or have the Dark Matter Radio Network feed dumped into your app so if people want too they can either listen to you or your archives and then when they run out of stuff listen to other people on the Network.  You need an app for this though so people don't have to go hunting for it.

I've seen people on this forum asking why is art only doing a broadcast on the internet won't that hurt people who only listen in their cars.  These people don't realize they can do both.  So you need to dumb down your service offering and have someone develop an app for you.  The problem with SiriusXM app was the bandwidth issue but the app in general is a great idea.  I only listened to your show as well as Opie and Anthony via on demand so I was always behind.  But if you build an app that is just your show for live streaming only your subscribers will be logging in and listening to your feed but also have available your archives for your new show.

Then when they catch up they can tap on a tab and listen to the rest of the Dark Matter Radio Network.  Keith Rowland I hope you're reading this and looking for app programers for Android and iOS because this is truly the future.  Regular radio is dead as we know it.  But you still have to develop a dumb way for people to get your content.  Yes most on this forum are tech savy but think about those on Facebook who aren't and read your posts VIA THEIR CELL PHONE.  That's how you get and reach them.  There's a reason cars have USB and RCA connections.  It's so you can play and listen to whatever you want VIA YOUR CELL PHONE.  This is where regular radio dies an instant death.  So charge me 7 bucks a month, that's how much I pay Anthony Cumia for his daily show, and then lets go from there.  He charges cause he has a video element but you put your money into the app Art.  That's where you will win I PROMISE, I'm a Doctor of accounting ;).  That's a Gabcast reference anyone get it?

Anyway, PLEASE do this in all seriousness.  You will solve the bumper music issue and eventually over take Noory and goons because I'm gonna let you in on a secret. I listen to my RADIO maybe ONCE a month and my phone all the rest of the time either listening to Sirius, Anthony Cumia, Gabcast, or Spotify.  I don't need regular radio.  FUCK THEM.  I pay for what I want and I want you.  So go to a university or put the word out you need app developers and get cracking.  shave 10k from the equipment and put that towards an app and hosting services.  You're gonna need a lot of bandwidth.  Once you build it THEY will come and you're gonna need all the damn bandwidth you can get.

Like.. yep a phone App would work best for me. I hate using a computer to listen to anything. I plug my active account (data plan)phone into the car. At home I use an old phone with home wifi and blue-tooth powered speakers or headphones. Charge my credit card automatically each month. $5.00 to 7.00 is OK.

Dark Matter Radio is already carried by Tune-In and there is a free Tune-In app for android phones and tablets, and Apple too, that plays audio streams including DMRN and even several Art Bell classic streams...

Another option is to take the m3u file and direct it to your favorite streaming player, like VLC or MX Player.

There is a link on the mobile site, but it could be adjusted to make things a bit more obvious for the less tech-savvy.

You are a sweetheart and a wealth of information.  I have always loved every single post you make.  Thank you for that🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

I would add: Art if you are reading this, please don't do the show if you don't think you can stick with it for some time. Maybe you should do it in "seasons". Not to be grim, but you are reaching the end of your days as a broadcaster. Go out with your fans having fond memories. At least give us another Ghost to Ghost/Spook Matters (or is that Darkness in the Desert?). Those were some of your best shows. You always seemed to be having fun and it was contagious. Best wishes.
