Good Noory Coast to Coast Shows

I know some people here would say if Noory does a show, it has to be bad, but I don't subscribe to that theory.  There must be at least a couple good shows over the years that some of you remember.   Please post your favorites, with original airing dates if possible.

Noory, if you are reading this, please post your own favorites - I'd love to hear what you consider to be your best radio.

I'm not going to a turd farm and smell the flowers.

Aren't they all "classics," according to Noory?

So....a four hour Mars show and no Hoagland as guest. And he was mentioned, so far, only once and very quickly by George. Has there been a falling out (I think others mentioned that he appeared on DM so maybe they at C2C have banned him?) Or the illness of his wife taking up his time (who I think is trying to cure it "naturally"?)

He's had some good shows when he stays away from the complete charlatans. I'm thinking for example of when he had the guy on who wrote the Twilight Zone companion. Even shows on conspiracies like the JFK assassination have been good. However those are few and far between.

The best ones always close with UFO Phil.   ::)

Yes, Back when Snooron was on Bellgab, I messaged him asking what he thought his best shows were, as Art had many memorable shows that stood out.

Noory responded: "they are all classics".

Crystal Gale vs UFO Phil basically embodies the difference between the two hosts in music

As for the best snoory show; that's sort of like looking for the best smelling turd-- they all stink. I didn't mind him as much early on for some reason, but I think it was just because I still loved the show Art had created rather than noory having actually been any better. Rose coloured goggles or something

Crystal Gale, sigh, I loved that hair! But the best AB song was this tribute that was played a few times back in the day- but not to absurdity that the UFO Phil song. UFO Phil has nothing on him.

Haha classic! Never really liked silly/parody music (I can not STAND weird Al) , but always had a bit of a soft spot for that song. Makes me giggle every time

That's Noory.  What a dick.

He's not bad when he has Gary Patterson on to talk about rock music history.  Best recent show was with a former Catholic brother who talked about the real life exorcism on which the movie "The Exorcist" was based.  Having spent many years in St Louis where the exorcism occured, Geroge seems to know a great deal about the incident.  Finding a topic/guest combination where George is both knowledgeable and interested is rare, but that night things clicked.

About once a year, I'll listen to a Noory hosted show when Steve Quayle is the guest.

When Art would interview Quayle, he would try and contain him and it really wasn't great.
Ian would  mix it up with him and it just turned into a bitch fest.  An Alex Jones or a John B. Wells
will egg him on and it's too much.

Noory's detachment and general ennui really mesh well with Quayle's demented stream of consciousness.
Quayle can just go off - one minute he is talking about his Special Ops buddies
that slugging it out with 18 foot Giants in the Khyber Pass.  Then he is off to molecular
biologist's turning up as stiff's down at the 7-11.   Suddenly the topic is Kennewick Man and then
it's a tale about a Russian General who tells Quayle he can control the weather. with
George hopelessly left behind.

It's so exhausting I couldn't deal with it even semi-regularly but once in a blue moon I can't resist.

Good Noory shows?  This is the shortest thread I've come across here at Bellgab.  Go figure.  Listening to Quayle?  I need to steal a fist full of Ritalin fm the kid next door to keep up with that loon.

... nights when he not only is not hosting, but is not hosting because of some terrible, gut-wrenching event?

Yes, Gary Paterson is usually good. Unfortunately he often comes on when somebody has died, like Amy Winehouse. Anything popular music related is usually good. Robby Kreiger comes to mind. Isn't George also friends with Billy Gibbon, or claims to be?

And I have to agree about some of the exorcism-related shows, unless its Bob Larson, of course.

I like the John Lott shows.
I'm sure that there were some other good ones--I just can't think of them offhand.

I recall reading an article and a newsman asked Noory the question.

Good Ole Jorch responded with something like The Micheal Cremo interview. I think he is the anti-christ. I got really sick during a commereical break after talking to him, then my listners emailed me saying their were ill after listening.
