I would like to underline this:

Quote“When it comes to telephone calls, nobody is listening to your telephone calls. That’s not what this program’s about,” Obama said. “As was indicated, what the intelligence community is doing is looking at phone numbers and durations of calls. They are not looking at people’s names, and they’re not looking at content.”

Great! Now they know what I like on my pizza, that I love my Mommy and that I have a guy with a rototiller coming by on Friday to make my garden sexy.

What might a "sexy" garden contain?

How come my browser crashed and I needed to restart my computer when I tried to d/l the pdf? Anyway I got it and likely already "on the list" so whatever. Thanks for the post, I liked Bill's stuff. I plan to read through. Good job on the person/people who went for the effort and it is crazy the things our government spends money on. Recall the discussion to murder Jack Anderson and the spying on other journalists and personalities? Yet, our border remains open and we take in any unvetted "refugee" and spend trillions to defend other countries' borders?  Yeah they are so, so concerned about our security.  ;)

I was a regular listener to Mr. Cooper's "Hour Of The Time" on the shortwave. Intriguing radio and his raw sincerity always made it entertaining. That he was under heavy surveillance was no surprise to him.

Same here. And definitely no surprise he was under surveillance. I liked him even if Art didn't (remember how he would get when callers mentioned him?) He feuded a bit with an early Alex Jones. Conspiracy-minded etc radio hosts have so many feuds and controversies amongst themselves, in a way in itself it is hilarious or, a part of the conspiracy? Thanks for posting that update!

This is some more great industry gossip. Do you think they considered each other competition, or did Cooper really think Art was a 12th? level Mason confusing the masses?

Yeah, he believed it. Cooper was also once a regular on the UFO circuit then decided that he was purposely duped to serve as a willing disinformation agent. His Mystery Babylon series is reccomended listening if you haven't heard it, and you're weird.

Well, Art did "confirm" it to a caller once! But, considering the state of the network and his "come-back" I doubt he was really.  ;) A lot of the stuff is ego, money, fighting over limited number of customers, etc but also true believing and if one gets into a real conspiratorial mindset almost nothing is real, all deception- at least possibly, etc etc. And then there are other issues (source/leaders of the conspiracy, politics, racial stuff, etc) that can divide them. Some of the feuds can be quite bitter I think some of led to lawsuits, threats, etc.
ps: he might have come upon it by himself and his Mormon, I think, background and interests but Clyde Lewis, I suspect, owes something to Bill Cooper with all his ancient Egyptian/Sumerian religion stuff etc stuff.

Yea, I ran across him on YouTube...I actually found the discussions very interesting...I then found the one recording with Art joking about being a "whatever Level" mason...I'll have to go back and listen to those recordings...I think Cooper even had some ex masons that he interviewed...I remember I was a little creeped out by the conversations...

I'm archiving the broadcasts as we speak. Though, I think I had, but not sure with all my stuff, so again. I'm not saying I buy into it but he was interesting and although I don't think he made much money was responsible for many of the "people" today who monetised it? And love SW. But, admittedly, much of his stuff was based on people who wrote/spoke in older days. But "history of radio" Bill deserves a commendation.

I started (re)listening to the Mystery Babylon series today, which led to my son and me watching 2001 A Space Odyssey (the kid says it's the creepiest movie ever), and tomorrow night we plan on watching 2010. Good stuff!

Awesome! It is (they all are) my local theater just released the summer schedule of "old" movies they will show and 2001 is one of them. I plan to take some younger folks, if I can get them off their cell phones  ;), to that, and others like Lawrence of Arabia, etc. Something about on screen, sans 'wifi connections', etc. Just overloaded a nephew, maybe too much, with books since he heard about Jules Verne so I supplied. Get in the woods or get in a book, I say, is the best education. Look up, look down, dig, hunt, fish, raise animals, etc. Better early education than whatever core. I think you saw my post about this, but if not, so cool:

BTW, Cooper essentially predicted the events if 9/11 in June of that year, saying that a major attack would be scapegoated onto OBL. Later Alex Jones piggybacked onto this prediction. I was listening to Cooper's show live when he forecast an attack and I remember thinking- Bill, Bill, Bill- you're taking it out too far on the old limb. Dude was right. Then he was killed.
