I'm surprised that no one has created a Dexter thread yet.
I'm late to the Dexter bandwagon. I didn't watch it live becuase, I don't have Showtime.  I just found this series on Netflix a few weeks ago and have been enjoying seasons 1 through 4.
Netflix has split up the streaming re release in 2 parts:
Season 1 through 4 is available now,
Season 5 through 9 will be available in January 2014.
It pisses me off I have to wait untill next month to finish the series.
One of the reasons I love netflix so much is the flexibility to watch an entire series at my own pace.
Anyone else like the show?
I'm only up to season 5,
so please use a spoiler alert  text warning as a courtesy if you post any major plot related information past season 4.

Spoiler Alert from season 1 and 2:

I can envision the whole, dexter framing other people so he can have the real killer all to himself, dynamic getting old. Also I am getting very tired of Debra, Dexter's sister, banging every dude who shows her the slighest bit of attention. Only to realize the dude is totally wrong for her, or a serial killer. I might note she has an uncanny resemblence to my sister, so maybe on some level I am reacting to her choices from a brothers perspective.
How plaubile is it for Dexter Morgan to work in a homicide department and routinely be able to mystify the citys best detectives, over and over again. The farther into this series I get, the harder it is to suspend disbelief

spoiler alert: he's a serial killer

i never understood why anyone wanted to watch a show about someone with a pathological need to disassemble people.  in reality that guy wouldn't limit himself to "bad people".  he couldn't help himself.

I'm a sucker for this type of show for some reason. Serial killer type shows have been overexposed and are usually heavy and ominous. This one is somewhat unique in my mind because of how they use humor from dexters perspective.

Why would people want to watch a show about Zombies that want to eat people or a show about a science teacher turned drug dealer that makes drugs that destroy lives or a show about aliens that come to Earth to enslave people and take our natural resources or a show about an island of plane crash survivors whose lives are coincidentally intertwined?

Sometimes we have to suspend belief for the sake of entertainment.

True story about my experience watching Dexter. We started watching season 1 in 2008 and we watched almost the whole season in 2 days. During the final episode my wife's waters broke and we didn't see the ending of the season for a few months. Stupid babies.

Look like this thread is DOA, but anyone who cares:

Spoiler alert. ...

Just started season seven.
The step-sister has cought dexter during one of his killings.
Im so glad she did because if the story continued towards her pussy boner for her adopted brother, I was ready to give up. Fucking creepy and uncomfortable.
Murder is ok but semi-incest is where I draw the line. >:(

What? It's not ok to bone your step-sister?

The actress who plays Hannah McKay in this season is an Aussie and she's hot hot hot.

Is she the hot blonde stripper? Nice!

I had a "thing" for the blonde Aussie freestyle or mogal skiier from the 2010 winter Olympics . Funny, I couldn't find her when I searched for:  hot aussie blonde chick.  Not specific enough I guess. ???
