Just want to update all those who sent prayers and good wishes for me and my mom. She came home yesterday and I am surprised how much better she is today. Unfortunately they are treating her only with meds. They could not do the angioplasty because the blockage is at the same place as last time and it has calcified. If they try and stretch it with the balloon it could tear the artery. Out of the 3 main arteries going to the heart she only has 1 artery left now that is not blocked. The blockage is in the curves near the heart so they could not put a stint in last time. Why did it have to be there? I know it is just a matter of time till the next heart attack and her heart is much weaker now. This one was a major heart attack too. Scary stuff. I do appreciate all the prayers. I will just cherish the time we have left and pray for it to be as long as possible.

Oh, so good to hear she's doing better. It certainly is scary, as we are going through similar with my mother. But, always an ease and strength surfaces from good support of others in prayers, well wishes and there for you when you need it. It really makes a world of difference. Hope she continues to heal and thoughts sent to you and your family too.

Best wishes...  Yes, we enter a scary time of life when so many loved ones (parents, uncles and aunts, older siblings, etc.) begin to suffer ill health.  Honestly, my teen years -- compared to life in my 40's -- seemed a picnic.  Anyway, continued health to your mother.

Thank you so much Chine. I'm so sorry your mom is going through that too. I will add her to my prayer list. If you can give me her first name. My mom is so much better today. She is now able to get up on her own but needs to use her walker still. At least I make her use it. It's the most scary and stressful thing when it's someone we love. My mom is my Achilles Heel and she's been with me since 1979, so it's hard when she's not here and even worse when you know she might not come home. Please keep me posted on how your mom is.

Thank you Uncsreened. No one is happier than me that she is home. She is getting stronger which is a really good sign. I have always cherished my mom. That is why she lives with me.

Thanks for the good wishes Area51. Those group thought experiments are pretty much the same thing as what some call prayer. It's all about intent and I know it works. Seen the proof a few times with my mom. I appreciate all of you that commented and sent their good wishes and prayers.

You are so right Redacted. I am here for her. Always have been. We've had out issues. She still thinks I'm the kid. LOL. I'm 60.  I have always loved her and will be there for her always.

You said it West. It is very scary to loose those close to us. My mom is the last surviving sibling in her original family of 9. She was the 2nd youngest and even her younger brother left us about 4 or 5 yrs. ago. My brother passed 3 yr's ago in Apr as well. He was only 59. Heart problems is in my mom's side of the family and most of them passed from that. My brother too. His was unexpected though.

You've got to keep yourself in good shape for both of you so sleep is important even if it seems like a selfish thing.

It's a good sign if she's able to get up by herself too!
