Art Bell and ClearChannel

Those who listened to broadcast #1, Art Bell aired his dirty laundry about C2C and ClearChannel.

Do you think his primary purpose was to be a thorn in the side of C2C and ClearChannel? Finally tell his side of the story?


The reason I pose the question is that I find it difficult to see anything else positive out of this for Art Bell.

1. His love of radio definitely wasn't it because he couldn't handle some issues that many other talk radio people clearly handle. There are glitches on AM / FM as well. You just deal with them.

2. Doing it for the fans wasn't it because in the big scheme of things, he did let his fans down, closed up his Facebook and is in cyber-hiding. He also implied that there wasn't enough call-in; i.e. fans not complying with the format.

3. It wasn't for the reasons he originally laid out about how SiriusXM was the next step in tech... yada yada.
