Posted Back in Black on Art's FB page when the announcement came on the new show. Went to a neighborhood bar tonight to try and sooth the shock. Back in Black came on the jukebox. That's some vicious circle...

Putting Coast to Coast in Art's old time slot is objectively a smart move by Sirius. Art left them in a lurch by leaving the show and they are filling the audience's need for this kind of programming.

Now we know why Sirius never got back to Art. Art fucked Sirius over by leaving and they are fucking him back by putting George in his old slot. They no longer need Art.

I think if Art hadn't left his show and George wanted to be put on 104, Art could have stopped it.

When Art started saying that something was going on in the background, my worst fear was that C2C were being brought on board.  And here we are... fuck. I'm still hopeful that Art can continue in the short term, but this turn of events is raining hard on that possible parade.

I agree as well. I wish Art would have told his audience who were having trouble listening online to go out and buy an actual radio. I don't recall hearing Art ever push his audience to go and buy a radio.

If Art was betting everything on online listening before he signed his contract he should have made a deal with Sirius to exclusively broadcast his show as he streamed it online through his website.

But this is all an afterthought. What's done is done.

so am I getting this right?  Art starts show on Sirius.  Sirius cancels C2C show.  Art quits Sirius with no plans on where to go and no other show with a contract that has yet another non-compete.  Now Sirius get C2C show back, and Art is has no show?? 

WTF kind of business plan is that?  I mean seriously, is Art just stupid, because nobody can be that ignorant as to proper business practices.  Certainly Art has enough $$ to hire someone to advise him as to business matters if he is that stupid.  I mean DAMN man!!

Well, that's enough for me.  Cancelling my Sirius today.  I will NOT pay to listen to George's shit.  I turned him on with iheartradio last night for about 15 minutes and after about 10 callers thanking him for his "service" while he was in the Navy, I had to turn it off.  He was a Effin paper pusher, a desk jockey.

And you know what, Team Noory was ahead of the game on this one.. they saw an angle, a chance, an opportunity.. And since PremRat dumped a lifetime contract behind Noory, it is in their best interest to keep all competition at bay.

It's funny, back in August I have a Facebook chat with Art.. I asked him if he would be permitted to broadcast through the night if he wanted. I asked, if a 'breaking news' event of some type occurred, could he cover it for the full night. He said yes. I was so excited........
Clearly, though, that was not Sirius XM's idea. Instead, they were planning on cutting him back to three hours and be the OPENER for George Noory.

Hoagland was on the Howard Hughes show a few days ago.  That hum that bothered Art so much was still there and he was asked about his crappy phone line.  He mentioned the Sirius stream was dropping for him, was it Hoagland himself who kept telling Art about the streaming problems with DM?  With RCH’s crappy phone connection - no wonder the stream dropped for him!

I'm a performer.  If I don't perform something is missing from my life.  Sometimes I went through periods where life's bullshit pushed me out of performing and everything got worse.  It took me a while to figure out that performing was the key.  If you're born with something you have to give, not giving it to the world leaves you empty in a way nothing can replace.  I believe it's the same for you Art.  Maybe I'm wrong, who knows, but it's just a suspicion because you have the gift.  So I sure as hell believe you want to be on the air because it's where your gift shines.  So I think it will happen, somehow or another for the good of the world it has to.  Some may say whatever it's just entertainment.  So was Led Zeppelin, so was Pink Floyd, so was anything.. just entertainment..  but was that all it was?  No, it changed out world for the better.  it made reality a different place to inhabit.  Fuck if I know why someone has a gift that makes talk radio ride the peak of the wave of humanity's consciousness but it does and only you Art have it.  So it will happen, or it won't, but I think it has to.  You're here, we're here.  It's going to happen.  And it's going to fucking rock.

I agree. Art could have still been doing his show. He could have cut it back for 2-3hrs/night for a while to build up a solid base. Art quit 6 weeks in, he screwed over Sirius.

Sorry to say, but this was Art's last hope. Enjoy the torrents,.
