Duke, I remember (might've been a few days, maybe a week or more) before Art announced where he was officially ending up there was conjecture it was with Lew Dickey and Cumulus. Cumulus has been making moves in certain markets and radio hosts, and when I read that Ross Mitchell had signed with Cumulus I thought, there it is... fait accompli. Art's going with Cumulus.

Fuck Sirius, they replaced Art with a program that can be streamed for FREE or heard on terrestrial radio after Art offered exclusivity sans streaming to them.

We don't know what Premiere offered them and at what stage in the talks Art/SiriusXM were in. It might have been after they told him no about web streaming yet before Wednesday when he offered exclusivity + streaming on his website as a private broadcaster. We just don't know at this point. Again, I don't blame SiriusXM here but I owe Art an apology for rolling my eyes about the evil Premiere disrupting talks - you were vindicated.

How do we know Art's agreement with SXM wasn't contingent on them removing C2C and other paranormal shows (like Ground Zero, I believe) in order for him to become their flagship program in that area?

And if that IS the case, and their agreement is no longer in force, why shouldn't SXM be able to go back to their old programming?

There isn't a damn thing we can do here; Premiere won, as terrible as it is to say it. If Art had just stayed on the air with Dark Matter and negotiated the private broadcaster deal while doing the show, this would have turned out differently.

As far as I'm concerned--although I personally took all of his explanations at face value and never doubted for a minute that he was being on the level with us the whole time, or at least as on the level as he could be under the circumstances--I hope that everyone else will consider him vindicated across the board. So now perhaps those who've pointed fingers of blame and accusation at Art from the minute this situation began will likewise have the stones to apologize.

There's only one question I have now:

How do we help Art?

First we wait for Art to tell us what happens tomorrow then go from there but the petition idea luna had started was good. We could relaunch and reorganize that.

Secondly, I could make a loose change style short documentary about this whole situation and if it gets enough views and gets into the press it will not be good PR for Sirius.

Third, lawyers on here who are able and willing to help should contact Paul if he asks for the help.
