To answer your question, yes I have a two Year non compete. I am a bit puzzled
at the lack of response today but they are a big company and move slowly.

They may be concerned about my back problems, they are real and pretty awful
when they happen. It can cause me to lose a day or so because it is impossible to
move when it happens but so far I have always recovered.

                                                                                                 Art

Art - I know I'm asking for many here ... but how restrictive is your non-compete?? Does it preclude you streaming on your own from your site? Can your voice not be heard in a public fashion in ANY manner for two years??

Thanks and again Infinite Roswells!!!!!

So do you communicate with them on the phone or by email.

If I were a suit at SiriusXM, the last thing I'd be concerned about were your back problems.  Just saying.

Why didn't you work these things out quietly behind the scenes with SXM while continuing to air the show?

This really is the question that should be answered.

If he is chatting to Paul on HAM, then any of you guys out west should be able to listen in with any sideband capable shortwave radio.  He's around 8.200 USB

I can't believe that most of this forum is waiting on baited breath for Art when any of you could listen in to his HF rig.    Shit, if conditions were right, I could pick him up on on of my radios.

What if we are on VHF or UHF?   8)

Well the tone was good, there is no tone to report today because there was no communication and
so that is all I am able to report. I try to be honest in my dealings with everybody and I have been
nothing but honest with Sirius/XM. I also am giving all of you the straight stuff.

When I was hired they just said come and have fun and if at any point you want to leave, no problem.
I didn't really want to leave, I just wanted a change in the structure to reflect what so many of their
other Host's do. I still think it would be a total win-win situation. They have not said yes and at the same
time they have not said no. I will let you know the moment I get word.

                                                                                                                       Art

If it is a no is that it? Will you pursue other avenues, legal or other, to get back on the air or will you be done?

Midnight in an office, Shooting stars across the sky,
This executive dribbling, will make us lose our ride,
Filled with the longing, Searching for the truth,
Will Sirius air you tomorrow, or will we get screwed?

Midnight in the desert, and we're listenin', ooooo, we're not able to listen to you.

And then this one, actually answer this one first. Hoping for the best!

Art, do you consider Noory's singing voice to be acerbic or more Christadelphian in character?

Here's a sample:

What if Sirius is waiting on Art, and Art is waiting on Sirius, and it's one of those corporate stalemates?   ???

Sorry dude - but looks like somebody took a dump on your plate...  :o

If that's what shit tastes like then it was delicious and we will need to come up with a better offensive material to send to Sirius if things don't pan out.

Art if you do come back on the air, why should we listen to you? You do have a history of "retiring" a lot.

i think it was a test of the stream, not the infrastructure. its easy to scale up icecast streams to meet the demands of 10000+, but i think they wanted to know how icecast would work as a streaming format.

Bingo!

MV, if you're lurking, you have just been sent a PM marked Urgent.

I'm going to guess almost all entertainment business contracts are standard with a non-compete.

it is funny, but the last line is sad - "ooooo, we're not able to listen to you."

Hopefully it'll turn into " ooooo, we're not able to listen to you.

Really bummed out that there hasn't been anything worked out between Mr. Bell and SiriusXM.  Hoping for some good news sometime soon...preferably before next week!
