Is Art a Freemason and what lodge and level.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before but does anyone recall that Art said he was a Mason in response to a caller in the mid-90's? Then quickly said, enough of that subject? Was going through the archives and listening to some old Bill Cooper, RIP, and he had a show about how Art was Mason, sell out, etc. I think, maybe, he even went so far later to the more scandalous, and proven libelous claims, that you all will no doubt recall. So curious. Don't get me wrong. I love Art Bell n don't care either way. But curious.

Yeah he was playing with the caller. He was using sarcasm.

sarcasm is often lost on "true believers" who can get carried away in their rants and conspiracies like William Cooper (RIP), Ted Gunderson (RIP), or Alex Jones. (Though I like them all and they have some good points some times and a good rant and all encompassing theory-of-everything can be interesting to hear!) So nothing to the rumor of Art being a Mason, huh?

I just remember that one phone exchange. I am not an Art Bell "expert". There are a few here than may have a better answer. But my money is on no, he is not.

He used to get accused of being some sword of 33rd degree special secret high-ranking Freemason. People used to say he was a shadow government operative, that he was working for the CIA, that he was an agent of disinformation, and a whole host of other things. The more he said "no," the less people believed him. So he got to the point where if he was asked this sort of thing on the air, he'd say "Sure. I'm a Freemason, yeah I'm CIA shadow government, all of that. Yes." And it really throws a wrench in someone's plan because they don't know what to say next!

He explained this on the air in the 90's/2000's Of course this answers nothing to your question and perhaps raises even more questions. I think he left it that way on purpose.

Thanks. As I said, to the real "true believers", everything is a source of speculation, conspiracy, or confirmation. Having said that the craziness of various allegations, lawsuits, court documents, and lack of help from Premier or Clear Channel does lead to suspicion. But aside from the awful truth of what happened and the actual facts of the case. I think, and have no truck with, Art is still very bitter from some of the guests, and his bosses, who wouldn't defend his character on some of the later allegations. Frankly, I think most people would've gone really "nuclear" after what happened and the then dispersions and libel and lack of support from "friends" and bosses.

Touche'. Actually Alex Jones is Bill Hicks as we all know. Some interesting youtube vids and websites about it. Considering their similar build, conspiracy thinking, and rants I can see the crazies believing it.
