I remember a few days after the Fukishima incident, Dr.  Michio Kaku appeared on cable news shows and recommended they do the "Chernobyl solution" and seal it all up in concrete.\

yes. The problem is is that the power company do not have the resources or the mental capacity to deal with it yet they insist on doing it and have done so for 2 years now.  the top nuclear scientists around the world should have been called in to come up with a solution.
