The new testament is broken into the gospels which are separate stories of Christ. The other books are part history and letters from various writers after Christ. The books were not compiled until later and there are several other books which make up the apocrypha not to be confused with several of the books of the old testament in the Catholic bible. This is the purpose of the New Testament.

I am well aware of that but what bothers me is those people who claim that THEIR version of the New Testament is the TRUE bible, yet if one takes the trouble to ask them about the Old Testament, few of them have any idea what you are talking about.
And a lot fewer have ever heard of the apocryphal books either.
Mention to one the Council of Nicosia sometime and watch the blank look on their faces.
I DO know my biblical and Christian history because I have a different perspective on it. My Mother is a Jew yet my Dad was raised as a Catholic.
I still know the old Latin and just got a PC program that shows the root words in Latin and what they are in English.
I also took comparative religion courses in college.

Dude seems to have selfishly wasted lots of lsd and k. A weekend at the Burbank compound might help. We find our religiosity in shoveling shit.

QuoteI'm addicted to you guys! Lol

I think we're addicted to each other.  :)

If god has blessed you with an open mind and humorous heart, yes.  Good smoke helps too.
Sounds up my alley.  Had to listen to GN on the way home with Billy Mumy.  My daughter was stunned with his BS.  Haven't heard that since Dark Matter.  Billy was great GN was all over the place.

Yet another problem. He thinks he ceases to exist at death. Everything suggests time is a continuum and that the past is simply a point back in time. You exist forever within your point in time. In that sense you're immortal, always back there, doing your thing, able be visited if someone can build a time machine or goes through a wormhole that connects different points in time (a possibility suggested universally in theoretical physics).

I know this is strange but, attractive young green women just do something to me...
Two words: Red Hair

Sorry to break it to you.

Dangit.  Shoulda known when I saw Bigfoot.  Dead giveaway everytime.

That last caller was brilliant and I choos to believe he is one of us. This show has turned out to be more than expected!

I just have to say, it's only Art's second week back and already he's had several classic shows and blown the last ten years of Coast completely out of the water. Dark Matter is awesome! The execs at Sirius must be giddy with glee.

My wormhole entry just now - Does he agree with laws...in which he wasn't consulted before they were enacted?

I think something happened to this guest that made him mad at the world, so he found something to take his anger out on, something  that would offend everyone. I've never understood why people go to such great lengths to prove/disprove religion. Neither side will win over the other. Its pointless.

Quick Karl

The Nicean Council chose the "books" were to be included in "The Bible" and those that were to be tossed in the trash... Was it Constantine that ordered it???? I forget.

It was great .  Posey broke the bat as he made the first segment of a triple brought in by Sandoval.  Had a crab sandwich to die for.

Yeah, I wonder why green women look somehow sexier. Maybe the way we process colors ? Or something in our primeval history that has something to do with elves, sprites, fairies, brownies, etc ?
The same primeval experiences that people like Alter always choose to deny because to them, its all in your mind.

Agreed. With any other host I would have switched off hours ago.

haha...more hermetic, living in a fantasy world in my apartment...with you all, my imaginary friends.
Hey! I'm not imaginary. I'm very real.
Just because you have never seen me, doesn't mean I don't exist.

Hmmm... I think there's a deep truth in that. :)

I much prefer hot or not.

I hung with a red-haired woman for a while, once...

I'll never do that again.

Is a green woman fetish worse than being a furrie?

No doubt, this has been fantastic. Art's as good as he ever was.

I find nothing attractive about that picture. Perhaps if that woman washed off that ridiculous paint.

Earth Pod

Isn't that something.  Coast has been rough to listen to w/o Art.
