I made mention of my disappointment with the GNS thread early this morning... I am now the (paraphrasing) the forums biggest bitch... oh the burdens I carry.

I think the new question should be: Am I the only person who thinks the GNS thread is more repetitive than revealing?

And to be clear noory still sucks.

No, you're not alone.  I don't mind good-natured ribbing, but some of the things in that thread are just too juvenile. I also don't understand why anyone who isn't actively trying to castrate the guy is now called a "Noory lover."  I still think he ruined a great show and probably won't make the effort to improve it, but I'm not going to make an ass of myself trying to get my point across. I'm looking forward to Art's show.

Thanks for the help, guys.  I too believe at least some of those posts are by Noory.  He makes some valid points, but still seems to miss the bigger picture of many of our misgivings.  He does deserve credit for coming on the forum, however.

This is the point: there is no purpose for the Compendium. And it's tricky, because there's always a possibility that there will be no real purpose for the entire forum, regardless of name change and change in style and perspective.

Other than that though, I'm simply irked that people think George Noory is going to post 80 times in 3 days anywhere. Well, other than a sex forum. I object to the sheer egocentrism of changing an opinion about Noory because it so tickled people to think George would show up and be so humble and apologetic and, "Gosh, he's so much smarter, and tries so much harder than I thought. And so courageous!"...it makes want to barf. He destroyed a show through his laziness and lack of interest over 10 years. Nor do I understand insulting the GNoory poster. Pointless and plain rude in general. But no one should have been engaging him as if he was a person in the first place.

The whole GNoory business was an op. Pure and idiotically simple.

There are forums dedicated to Taylor Swift. I think a community for paranormal radio and Art Bell is more than enough interest for sustainability.

If you take MV's discussion of noory posting here, it is pretty obvious noory should be treated as any other member. That means no flaming, granted we are pretty loose with that rule. Hating noory has been the standard here for many members for quite some time. And continuing to challenge his lack of talent and lack of interest are valid contentions. But with some members things went much further than that and those members seemed to have no interest in restraining their comments.

Whether it was noory or not is really not the issue. How that poster was engaged, was and is an issue.

It is difficult to give credibility to noory being of modest intelligence then suggest he is planning some kind of coup... seems a disconnect.

It may be your opinion not to ever engage noory, that is fine, push that idea much further and you have censorship of the worst kind.

And one last thing, none of us had ownership in c2c. The direction it took after Art left was horrible and disliking that change is normal. It is also normal to move on. PremRat had the right and authority to do as they liked. Hating the host to the level some did here is not only irrational it may be certifiable.

I believe it's Jorch or one of his operatives on the GNS thread.  Morgus nailed it when he pointed-out a similar MO was used with the Fantastic Forum.  Jorch may be as dumb as a rock but he's not alone at PremRat.  Even a lab animal can be trained to perform repetitive tasks.  It's not taking a lot of effort or intelligence for the current operation. 

The GNS thread did look like another night at the coliseum.  Jorch or his operative slinks in with a few posts, tosses out some bread crumbs to the mob to get their interest, slinks back out, while some operatives from the PremRat Praetorians play with the mob and fuel up the love for the emperor.  Every once in awhile, the emperor throws out some shout-out crumbs to the crowd.  The juvenile porn-like posts just make it even more like "good times" at the coliseum. 

As has been pointed out, it is kind of one big ho-hum, though.  Art's back in a few weeks and Dave is pretty much irrelevant anyway.  The GNS thread may as well become one post after another of "Who's Dave?"

I'll get hell for this..I know its the "noory sucks" thread, and indeed he does, but insulting him in every single post and then ending it with "george noory sucks" makes me think you're either in grade school or have water on the brain. Also, the requests for shoutouts to your family pet is annoying the hell out of me. If people get mad at me for saying that, fuck em. It's been on my mind.

Maybe its just my hatred for cats but no matter how much people truly want to believe otherwise, cats are animals and nothing more.  Between you and the cat, you are the only one who could even acknowledge the prayer. For me, posting on the George Noory Sucks thread was never about hating George, it was about entertainment at George's expense.  Which I thought was fair since he ruined my favorite radio show.  Others were posting funny shit, I figured why not join in.

Someone got George to give a shout out to a 'cat named Goatsy'.  How is that not hilarious?

We've got him to the point of being ok to talk about Art's new show on the air, and give it publicity.  That's not too bad.  Remember all those years when he would stiffen up and get quiet if someone even mentioned Art's name - I think he even finally started using the delay to keep it off the show completely.


For me, George showing up and posting is entertaining too.  Hearing his voice during he show is one thing, seeing video clips of him on GaiaTV, or singing at a convention is a whole new - and very amusing - side of George. Even that video of him and Tommy riding in that car at a parade was good stuff.  Him posting comments here may have that kind of potential - George as thread participant.  If he feels more comfortable, we may get more out of him.

I have argued several times during the madhouse that the GNS thread has become this past week as to whether or not Gnoory was real or just another Premrat lackey doing his dirty work.  It's obvious, as has been said, that it's one or the other because of the C2C show/GNS thread correlations. Whatever. Like all of you, I'm here in this quieter corner, seeking shelter from the results of the adventure.  If someone planned to throw this Forum into chaos, it has worked, at least to a limited degree.

Here's my two cents about what I see as a contributing factor to the situation (and for which I hope not to be crucified.)  I may have a fixation about avatars, because I've complained a couple of times in the last couple of years, but it seems to me that they do set the tone when an outsider comes in and sees the really outrageous ones flash by every few posts.  There's plenty of room for creativity here, but when a sense of class is totally ignored, all involved suffer.  No fingers pointed.  Jes sayin'.

Speaking of avatars, GNoory certainly selected some bizarre ones.  Almost what I'd expect from a person with some mental aberrations.  At least the koala was easier on the eyes.
