Do you believe Polybius really existed?

Yes
No, it's a myth
Do Not Care
If it did, I still prefer Astro Blaster for epileptic rendering

Bad Ronald truly is the best of the genre. I watched it awhile back on You Tube, and the creep factor was still there.  I have a really crappy VHS of it stashed away.

Like you, I never got into the kung fu or karate sub-genre.  It doesn't hold my attention.

Speaking of made-for-TV movies, one of my favorites is on tonight, The Little Girl who Lives Down the Lane with Jody Foster, Scott Jacoby, and Martin Sheen.

It looks like Netflix has recently added quite a few cult films.  I'm seeing some news ones pop up today.  Netflix has recommended I watch The Big Doll House, another of the Philippine exploitation movies.
Before Bad Ronald, I never thought a teenaged psychopath(actually alienated goof with bad luck) could lurk inside the walls...after seeing it, I became convinced it was likely occurring in my friend's house. That a bunch of teen girls move into Ronald's house was a really cool angle.

The kung fu genre, including the higher quality stuff like Enter The Dragon just didn't do anything for me, and was a frequent subject of debate when I was a kid. Two of us liked horror the other dozen liked kung fu. And never the twain did meet.

Big Doll House and it's sequel "Big Bird Cage"...another Jack Hill classic with Pam Grier, Sid Haig, the mainstays of Grindhouse cinema.

What do you think of the Rob Zombie/Tarentino "tributes"?

I've never been a Tarantino fan.  I think Pulp Fiction is garbage, which offends many people.  However, I finally made myself sit down and watch Death Proof a few months ago.  It wasn't bad.  I was pleasantly surprised.

Rob Zombie's films are missing the grit and genuineness that Tarantino was able to capture. It looks like he's trying too hard. They're too slick, too Hollywood, Sig Haig or not.  I like that he's at least trying to bring the genre back, but he needs to grit it up a bit.

I think half of Pulp Fiction was great...the other half was superfluous and reminded me of bad Abel Ferrara. One of the last movies I saw at theaters(10/20/94)

Zombie's films remind me of cover bands/tribute acts. It's a facsimile with no guts, like you say, way too slick and boring. He's a smart guy and real fan of the genre...but his movies are a little too obvious.

I rarely go to the theater to watch a movie.  I used to love to go, but not anymore.  I have sound issues that drive me crazy when people chomp on their popcorn or rattle their candy wrappers.  On the rare occasions that I find a movie I want to see in the theater, I bring along my iPod and listen to Phil Hendrie does C2C while I'm waiting.

Robs movies remind me of what a little kid directing a horror movie would be like but then again Robbie got his start as a little kid trying to make home made horror movies... he should go back to the music of his first few albums and the great videos that accompanied them

I'd still go to the movies if not for one small catch...other people. I used to purposely see dreadfully dull art house crap, just because I wouldn't hear "fuck yeah! wiped that dude out!"  or "ooo hoo, why dat man carry a sign saying he hating on niggas?"  which are things I actually heard at the lame Diehard 3 on June 3, 1995. So my patience was worn thinner than Karen Carpenter and it's been 17 years since I entered a theater.
