I wonder if Art is headed to New Mexico to meet Richard C. Hoagland.  Hoagie isn't doing anything now.  Plus he owes Art a favor.  I'm guessing Art and family bunk with Hoagie for a while.  ;D  ;)

hoagland is hiding Art from Robin, as if Art was a stray dog he found lol

I remember when Bell wouldn't work with an attorney to get out of his supposed Sirius non-compete.  Now he sues over BS minutiae.  What a putz.
Yep, I never saw the documents or know what he actually signed but non-competes are notoriously hard to enforce and in some states not even allowed or allowed in very limited situations. They are more like receiving a letter from a lawyer or thinking because you signed some waiver that you have no rights or that their claim is valid. The threat is enough for some people. If Art was serious he should've consulted an attorney back then. And then to jump to lawyers for a few seconds of a comment on a show, that doesn't mention his name, that most people don't listen too? Crazy.

Okay, you're attempting to wind up, but you're making yourself look silly. Stop it. Stop it now.

There is no way that would stand up in a court of law.  The suit will be thrown out by the judge.

Somebody needs to rewrite the lyrics to Dancing Queen and change the name of the song to Drama Queen.

From what little I have seen of RCH, he seems very unlikely to repay a favour. :)

I don't think Art wants the suit filed, merely "documented"

Art knocks on the door.  Hoagie yells to Robin to cut the lights.  They then hide behind the couch for hours.

And Art's money. I don't think there would be any lawyers who would take this "case" on a contingency. So Art is likely having to pony up for the filing fees, process servance, pay the lawyer and this is before other costs for filings, depositions, court costs, and costs of the defendents when he loses (if it ever got into court.)

Why didn't Art use them during the Sirius debactle and why all the fretting over bumper music since I'm sure that firm has attorneys who could explain the laws on them? Maybe I'm not seeing something or there is more here than I'm aware of but I can't imagine those few seconds of a joke/comment- that didn't even mention Art's name- will be sucessful lawsuit but it is a crazy world.

Basic costs by his firm per rounded hour:
    Partner $575.00 - $700.00 per hour
    Of Counsel $475.00 - $570.00 per hour
    Associate $295.00 - $470.00 per hour
    Paralegal $125.00 - $250.00 per hour

"Grandaddy Bell's yelling at a cloud, again."  ::)

With the "titans of the broadcast world" on Art's side, he can't lose. My 2017 prediction is that Midnight in Art's Ham Shack with Heather Wade will be carried by Cumulus as part of the settlement. You da man, Art!
