Morning all.

An objective observation: I don't condone the unnecessary digging up of AB's son's past to be used against him even if it is in the public domain, but I have noted a paradox, if I may;

Several posters including myself have outlined how and why they believe the 'stalker' story has no foundation, not least of all because AB's behaviour about it is completely at odds with the display of 'terror' he and his family have endured. Add in the apparent indifference of the local police and press and it makes it appear either over reaction and embellishment of something mundane (possibly even an ND of a firearm) at best, or totally fabricated to explain his desire to no longer broadcast-which needs no further explanation other than 'I quit because I want to, deal with it'

But what has made this more intriguing is the quite angry response to penguin's postings. It was barely contained primal rage- which I can understand (the fact it's public knowledge is immaterial).

Why no rage at the police for not taking him seriously? Why no pleas for assistance in tracking his alleged stalker? Why no reports from the neighbour who started the ball rolling?

Anyone else think it a strange dichotomy?

Heather hasn't posted for ages. And even when she was around, I don't think she added all that much, and it was all rather bland for a long time. It all started to feel self-conscious, as though she always had one eye on her reputation and didn't want to fuck it up. Art hardly posted at all when he did his show, and only really came on when he was trying to promote stuff, or stir things up. I don't think there were many occasions he posted when it looked like he was just there to hang out - it usually had an ulterior motive or a manipulative air to it all...

This is exactly correct on both accounts.

But I do think DumbPenguin has done enormous damage to this forum, and there are quite a few long time and newer posters who haven't posted in over a week now.

Several have privately told me they are done. But they are hardcore Art Bell fans. As for the rest I suppose you are probably right. But as I was reading old posts hasn't it always been like this? Except more of us are expressing a negative opinion. I see that as the main change. Other than that there are some truly vile posts back then too.

Well I woke up, ate, had some coffee, stretched and went to the basement...

The funny thing is you hit on some truth that she will appreciate. She doesnt exactly 'get it' but trys hard to listen to my tales of daily trollage. When my buddies and I are talking on skype she just sits here and rolls her eyes and says we're "mean" and she usually cannot see the humor. Whats even worse is that we are polar opposites- I'm a gamer geek and shes not at all- So even alot of the humor used in my circles doesnt make sense to her.

Thing is, she knew what she was getting into since we started dating.

Fortunate for you, I do sleep on occasion. Fortunate for me I have made a life for myself that allows me to pretty much fuck around online the entire time i'm awake if I choose to and can sleep and stay up at my leisure .

Sadly, sometimes I have to actually do shit that isnt fun- Like for the next few days when I have to actually venture out into the big , bad world and try to act civilized. Its not easy, but sometimes you have to take one for the team.
