Chefist and Jaz I am 99.9% positive Art mentioned his hatred for red eyes on the interview with George Lutz.
I will have a listen a little later to see if I can find it too.  8)

Really enjoyed the show last night.  What stood out was Art in the chat saying, and I'm paraphrasing because I didn't have the presence of mind to do a screen shot, "Just give me one head-to-head in a major market" with Dave.  Is this the most aggressive stance Art's publicly taken?

OOOoooooo, I missed that. After he typed "Steak, fresh cut fries, and corn on the cob" for the 2nd time my attention was fully diverted.

PathoJen

Jaz., art says he hates red eyes, on 4/13/01 Ghost to Ghost at 22.06

Less posting, more listening.  ;)

If anybody wants to help us locating references to Art hating red eyes (the more animated the better) in Ghost to Ghost episodes then that would be a great help.

We have already ruled out 93, 94, 95, 96 & 97. I know they are there.

You will have my gratitude.
Hi Jaz,

Art mentions his intense dislike of red eyes in the following interview:

1/24/2002:  John Keel - Mothman Prophecies
(About 39 minutes into the interview)

Hope this helps!

Awesome work Jaz. Can't wait to see the next one.

I'm just glad we found out what you had for dinner.

Not to critique, but I found Art's dinner to be unpretentious yet masculine and a direct poke at the competition. As I recall, he said steak, fries and corn on the cob. Well, steak is obviously bad ass as are fries, but mere canned corn wouldn't do. No, Art went with corn on the cob; a man's corn, or CORN if you will. Compare this to raiding the sandwich cooler at 7/11 or nuking a box of pizza rolls. I give Art's dinner 3 1/2 stars. Dave's toomeric flavor ramen noodles gets 1/2 star.

Well now we didn't get info on dessert.  A respectable iron-skillet prepared apple cobbler, for instance, could boost it to a solid 4 stars.

Oh, Art would never have canned corn.  Just wouldn't happen.

Yes Zeebo, that was my reasoning for not giving it a full four. I agree on the cobbler--there's a lot of power in a good cobbler--but would have accepted a proper slice of strudel or a bear claw in a pinch and still went with four stars. Jelly donut not so much.

I hope Dave's not reading this, but the Art Bell's Munchies Cookbook project is coming along nicely.
Working title: "Midnight in the Dessert".

This Forum is slipping and going to a sad place indeed if my Dinner last night deserves a page or two, actually its a bit creepy.

I can on request provide details on my morning movements.

On a serious subject I hate Red Eyes even more then Lima Beans which don't belong on The Planet in any form at all, a final solution should be formed for the foul green things.

Thank you to everyone who assisted me with finding a suitable soundbite. Thanks Chefist and PathoJen but Morgana wins the Jaz Prize. I only wish I had more room in the trailer because Art's whole bit about Red Eyes is fantastic. Perhaps it will make it to the Deleted Scenes or Easter Eggs of the Blu Ray release.

Coincidentally my next trailer is about Lima Beans. Stay tuned .....

I see dollar signs where you see creepy. $5 a month extra to read Art's dinner blog on the website. You'll certainly get most of the gabcast hosts, though probably not Onan, he's rather cheap.

I really like this one, Jaz! Very Cool!

I love this one the best Jazz. They are all exceptional but Art's UFO story has always resonated with me and it is well placed in this trailer. I also love that bit at the end about the alien being shot full of lead. I always thought that would happen too. Still would happen IMHO.

Oh yea, Mothman! That's right! Good catch! I hope Art does a show about the incredible similarities of Pt. Pleasant/Mothman and Skin Walker Ranch! Tons of red eyes in those stories!

Both Mothman and Skinwalkers are about as creepy as they come! Yikes!

Both of those stories have monsters, UFO's and poltergeist activity all in one! Would be great to line them up and discuss...

Oh my god yes. The Mothman Prophecies was the one paranormal book I read that truly scared me. Sadly John Keel is gone, but Art did interview him once.

Yeah, but of all the superheroes/cryptos/paranormal beings, Mothman is the worst name.  Mothman?

Art has a Pinay wife, he could have canned meatloaf, Spam, sweet spaghetti, lechon baboy, sisig, balut... the list goes on; and gets more exotic. Have you ever seen 2 pinayz fight over a crunchy pigs ear, or get into a tussle with a pinay for a crispy baboy ear?  It wouldn't suprise me if half Arts electric usage went into cooking sticky rice, that was bought at the asian market in 25 Kilo bags. Bless Pinayz
