At the new DarkMatterDigitalNetwork website there is another new show listed there:

The Other Side of Midnight
Another new Monday â€" Friday LIVE program that comes on right after Art Bell.  From Midnight â€" 2 AM PT.
Host to be announced soon.

That will cover the remaining 2 hours competing directly with c2cam live M-F, after Art is on from 9PM-12AM PT.
Any guesses on who the host for this new After Art show might be?

But... BellaHaven will still be on right?

Does this mean that I am first?!?

Seriously, I'm going to book a flight to Australia to track you down.  I'm living a minute or two behind you in this life, and it is getting old...

I live in the future.

Apparently not on DMRN, it would compete with the new "Other Side of Midnight" show.

My guess is that this is (redacted)'s new show.

When asked whether she would join the Bella Haven girls when she was on Future Theatre she seemed like she was holding back something. That could be why she was non committal to them. This could be it.

In short, even if I should book a flight to Australia I will never manage to catch up?  This is a little depressing... Am I destined to live in your past for my remaining days? :(

Me too- but it appears that I only frolic in the past.

Interestingly the new M-F after Art show "Other Side of Midnight" will also have podcast archives available to $5/month Art Bell MITD subscribers, so thats a new bonus.

...um....just listening to Dave with his guest Richard Hoagland...and um....think I just heard a MAJOR spoiler.

Hoagland said he would be hosting the c2c show on july 16 (I think that was the date he said) and then he hinted that the show would go longer and that c2c should always be a longer show....and then DAve pretty much told him to shut up and that they couldn't reveal that yet for technical reasons.....I mean...wow...it even sounded like Dave muted Hoagland.

So.....it sounded to me like c2c is going to, dare I say it, have other shows on after the regular c2c show? If so, it sounds kinda like that may be how they are going to try to compete with Art and DM network...but having their own on at the same time.

God...this is getting nuts.

Did anyone else catch this on c2c too?

Yes it was just commented on in the George Noory Sucks thread earlier...

There were some comments in the GNS thread.  I didn't catch on that Hoagland was revealing a secret C2C plan, though.  I couldn't figure out why Noory was so anxious to shut him up.  Interesting take.

It sounded completely to me like there was a major shift in the works and that Hoagland almost spilled the beans. And I wouldn't doubt that they would try to compete with Art by trying to expand themselves into a network too that would scoop all of the attention. It's just like them.

God I hope Dave doesn't try that, he'll get his ass kicked. This is a new thing Art and Keith are trying, it's an unprecedented business model as far as I know. They are entrepreneurs. Corporations and their hacks are no good at that stuff and if Dave puts his show on some kind of Dark Matter Network model or whatever the hell they're thinking it's five or ten years too early. Leave innovation for the innovators and jump in when the industry understands the metrics and the whole thing becomes mainstream and understandable for executives.

Never underestimate the greed of the suits. NEVER. They don't have a creative bone in their bodies...and they have created whole industries on the creative backs of those of us that do. They are thieves, pure and simple. All they really know how to do is steal.

I bet that is exactly what they are planning. Use Art's own ideas and creativity for themselves...what other choice do they have, they could never come up with such a thing on their own.

George really sits up and starts paying attention when anyone suggests he put some effort in, let alone additional work.

He doesn't even have the material or the attention span for the current 4 hour show

sounds like they may be planning to put on additional hosts with additional shows after c2c. Maybe, dunno.

I agree. And that's what they'll eventually do, but it's way too early for that. They're simply too rigid because of their corporate nature to be the innovators at this point. Corporations are greedy, but they move like dinosaurs because of the legal departments and layers of bureaucracy. They cannot, and do not, go viral or do any of the things that entrepreneurs do on the net. Seriously, Noory doesn't even understand that Youtube broadcasts are more important than GAIAM for promotion these days yet here they are thinking that they can do something innovative by stealing a model that isn't even tweaked yet.

Not to worry. If there's a plan in the works at Premiere, it's gonna fall flat. Long live the hot air.

Seems to me that there's only so much time in the day. Local stations have to move to morning programming leaving Dave with what, an extra hour? They could do it on the Coast site, but that's old and stale internet-wise. It's just going to be a pale second if it happens at all and then disappear at some point.

They could try and compete first of all on Sirius and then let regular radio stations pick up the shows. God, I hope I am wrong.

Does this mean Hoagland has chosen his side? Team Falkie?

I didn't catch it as I quit wasting my time listening to Dave a long time ago... However, I can see Gnoory and the pemrats thinking that they should offer their own 24 hour a day network "for only pennies each hour."  Maybe this is the big Falkie announcement?  Maybe Jorch is offering him his own hour?

Whatever they do, they have neither the creativity nor the loyal fan base to do anything aside from offer the few "insiders" that are left more excrement for more hours and possibly for only a "little more $$$."

Leave it to a failing network to start showing desperation.  Maybe this is where they finally give poor Jimmy Crutch his own show.  And he can bring his tens of listeners into the Coast family.

Oh my Jesus, if George gives Hoagland a show I'm going to have a stroke. Someone bash my head in with wrench. It'll be a favor. You'll just be saving me from experiencing the apocalypse.
