What was Art's cryptic farewell message?  "Long live the hot air"?

From Wikipedia so it has to be 100% accurate and was probably maintained by morphiaflow so you know no children were harmed in bringing you this fact:

On December 21, 2010 the "HamCam" on Art's ham radio website[36] featured an image with the following cryptic wording: "The Wind No Longer Blows, in the End it was Without Direction. Long Live the Hot Air. 30" "-30-" is journalistic shorthand for "end of story."[/b]

Wow. You guys sound like a bunch of sullen children daddy didn't buy the right gift for at Christmas. I could've likened you to other things but children seems most fitting since the jabs/jokes have been around Art's age. So immature and unimaginative. Tsk tsk.

There's no stopping the social media juggernaut that is Keith Rowland's artbell.com as they have just joined Google +

Now I don't have to get someone to paste a picture of his facebooks posts on here. Atleast Google+ lets you look with out registering.

oh by the way FUCK YOU FACEBOOK!

Way ahead of the curve.

I really hope he is working to get a PR firm and affiliates.
Also Keith does not count as a pr firm.

I hear art will be heard on the tri lateral commision network.

Art Bell - July 5 - near Pahrump, NV

The end of the World is clearly near. Many friends died today. Little cats and dogs were crushed.

(This has been a Facebook test, how do you feel?)

Hmmmmm. Could this be an indication of the first stage of dementia?

What kind of a message is this?

Who laments his human friends deaths, and then adds animals to his lamentations on the same level?

You know, I use to see Art in the same anarchistic way, or on the same level that I saw the late Wolfman Jack.  There's a song called "The Nightfly (WKAZ)" by Donald Fagen. This was his tribute to the late Wolfman. I hope that Art will continue his anarchistic ways so that he too will warrant this type of a tribute when he is no longer with us.  :'(

and then again, perhaps this is just that.  :)

Figured due to all the news about the illegals flooding the border I'd check out some old AB episodes about Illegals. He was against though didnt like the infamous beating after police chase. At one point I swear AB is hitting on "Kumi" a caller from Japan who was "told to call this number from her friend Jerry." Great radio. Then then about his latest cat hiding in drawer. And then a holocaust denier gets on and he talks to the freak about how he complains that his group couldnt get into the opening of a holocaust museum. N lets him go n never cuts off but owns him. 1996-04-02 Immigration n Euthanasia. No contrversial topics!

According to Jimmy Church, Art is coming back next July.  He was originally slated to take the 10PM Eastern time slot that Jimmy now occupies, but Art decided he wanted to come on after Jimmy a 1AM Eastern.
Apparently Art wants to go head to head with sNoory.  We'll see, I guess. Stand by.

This was in response to Facebook's obnoxious and arrogant manipulation of postings and messages to gauge recipients' emotional responses.

http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2014-06-30/facebooks-emotional-manipulation-test-was-unethical-and-so-is-the-rest-of-social-media

This was Art's way of needling Facebook for being so rude.  A bit over the top, but it was probably seen by many in the FB hierarchy.

Should be an interesting 3 weeks!

Art cannot beat George. If George has failed to get himself fired, then nobody can!

No one will know art has even returned. Fewer less will even know how to find dark matter network.
Art needs radio exposure and affiliates if he is going to have a caller driven show.

mattjs2732

My prediction, and this is assuming he puts his full effort into things and doesn't quit again:

He's going to start an online streaming show. He'll probably eventually enter into agreements for two bit stations to rebroadcast the show, thereby allowing him to maintain full control of HIS show (we know how Art likes to be a power monger, and I can't blame him.)

Do I believe he'll actually get to the point of being nationwide on terrestrial radio again? I'll say it, never.

If he thinks people like Richard C Hoagland and the Alien in the Freezer guy are interesting and current, maybe he shouldn't be

The other problem we run into, is that this isn't the 90's anymore. A lot of people are starting to keep their minds open about the paranormal and such where it isn't as big as it used to be.

Good radio isn't really about the subject. It is about the plate it is served on. I hate sports. I can listen to Bob Costas all night.

It would of been weird if he didn't have Hoagland on. Wasn't that Dark Matter was a basically a debate?

Unlike the Alien in the Freezer guy. He got a free ride.

Speaking of calling people on their bullshit, when do we get to rake Ed Dames over the coals?
Even a broken clock is right twice a day. How do you do it, Ed? How do you get EVERYTHING wrong?! It's like you're just makin it up.

I would do the same. I don't put humans on a higher pedestal than animals.
You can have nearly an equally good relationship with your dog, horse, cats than with people.
Well, maybe not with cats, cause they are egoistic bitches.

Sorry for my ignorance, but is there any confirmed or very likely date when Art Bell is coming back to broadcasting?

No, no, no, NowhereInTime. You need to check your time frame. Art was not yet back on the air until 2013. Why would he react so feebly two years after the fact, and a year after his show is no longer on air?

QuotePeople were predictably angry to find out that Facebook (FB) ran an experiment subtly manipulating the emotional content in the news feeds of selected users. The idea of the 2012 experiment was to determine how reactions change if Facebook users saw more happy posts or more negative ones, prompted by the apparent concern that those who saw too many positive posts might feel bad about their own barren social lives. The researchers found the opposite was true.

Okay Chaim. Why do you make a claim such as this?

QuoteI don't put humans on a higher pedestal than animals.

And Why not? Is it not a given, that absent the presence of the Dinosaurs, Humans are the reigning and supreme life forms on this planet known as Earth for good or for ill?

Chaim do you say the following things in comparison because it is really you who are too demanding! Could it be a need for unconditional friendship / loyalty / love that causes you to make the following comparison between "your" Human and non-Human encounters??

As far as I am concerned, humans are vile, worthless creatures that destroy everything we put our hands on.  You say we are the supreme life form, but who cares?  I think all creatures on this planet should be shown equal respect.

I take it you're the type of guy that calls someone a "PETA faggot" if that person dare speak out against animal abuse.  You're type are the type I hate.  I value my family and friends, AND my pets.

You can call me sick and twisted all day long, but human suffering does not bother me as much as seeing animals being beaten slowly to death, or skinned alive, or starved to death.
LOL, supreme beings.  You're a joke just like the human race.

If I saw some one skinning another human being I'd pull out a gun and shoot them. Should I also shoot a cat if I see him killing another cat?

No, no, no, Fields_of_Tron. From what you are saying you can not possibly understand my meaning.

How can you "hate" who and what you are - a Human Being, is it not the race that you're a part of?

No, true, we Humans don't have a stellar past when it comes to dealing with each other. Don't Give Up On Us - WE CAN STILL COME THROUGH...

A great many of 'humans' are not.  My grandfather was fond of saying, 'Just because they walk upright and make ppl sounds doesn't mean they are human.'

That being said, I believe most of the herd just wants to be left alone.  So leave 'em alone, I say.

As the dominate life form on the planet, that means everything else may be food to me.  Am I more cunning than a trap door spider?  I dunno.  But I do know that I have opposable thumbs and a greater (maybe) capacity to reason my way out of a situation.  So everything else is meat for the plate.

PETA Fag?  Ummmm, don't know how to answer that.  There are extremists for and against most causes and dehumanizing the opposition is an age old tactic.  What angers you more?  The assumption that you are a fag or that you support PETA?  *shrug* I really don't care, though.

Now if u really feel that we humans are sick and twisted with less right to be on the planet than say a steak,er, cow; perhaps you would lead the way and exit this mortal coil.  You first.  Show us how it's done.

No?  Okay.  Begin a rant, I'll listen as long as it is amusing to do so.

I've pretty much stated my opinion.  Your reply has done nothing to sway my fervor.

Humans destroy.  We build things to destroy.  We destroy things to build.
I'm not leading a suicide mission to make a point based on my opinion.  I live off the grid as far as eating and housing.
Other than this laptop and a cellphone I use for business and family, I grow my food.  I respect the land around me and the animals that die in order to give me nutrition.  If I kill an animal for food, I don't sit on top of it's body with a huge smile and have someone snap a picture.  I show it the respect it deserves.
I'd like to add, I eat meat, I just don't buy it.  By shooting a deer and eating it, I don't give a dollar to an industry that forces pigs and cows to live un-natural lives on concrete floors only to be tortured and mistreated by employees who have grown complacent to the pain and torture of the concrete-farm-raised animals they tend.

Spare me your top of the food chain shit, humans rule the planet blah.  I live off the land and respect it.
