Area51

The status bar is at 50% now. Wasn't it at about 25% yesterday?

I go away for four hours and there are four new pages of stuff. What happened? Did Art Bell quit Coast or something?

Don't worry, Jorch still sucks.

My take is that he used those old standards to say "I'm back, and I'm going to do something very similar to the old Coast."  I don't think it necessarily means the format or iconic songs and effects will be the same.

Exactly my thought on the matter.  And I srsly doubt he'll be able to use 'The Chase' on his new show, since c2c has that.  There would be some sort of legal issue over that; copyright issues or something?  Not being an attorney, I'm not sure just what the legal issue would be, just quite sure that there would be one.

That being said, it will be interesting to see what lead-in music Art will select for his new show.

Disheartened

Once Art starts his new show, Coast will obliterate anything associated with Art. The intro music, the Somewhere in Time shows, even some of the bumpers, and the Art Bell credit at the end of each show. It will be like Art never existed.

They will do this because anything associated with Art on Coast would in effect become advertising for Art's new show.

You know what? I can even see Coast To Coast AM changing its name.

Now George can even dump what he calls the "classic" topics and direct the show to topics that he obviously likes, alternative health and current events.

Shockwave

Announcement on Monday or the 1st.  *Hopefully...

Captain Noory must be shitting his pants because Art bell will be taking back the night.

When George was a fill in for Art, he was nowhere near as horrible as he is now.  When he first took over as host full time, he was not the dumb, lazy, boring ass clown he is now.  It seemed like the longer Art was gone, the more sure it seemed that Art had retired from hosting fulltime, the less likely it was that Art would return to reclaim the microphone, the lazier George got and the less interested he seemed.  When Art left the show completely, any effort George had made at all disappeared.

During the whole time, he would go silent when Art's name was mentioned, then finally stammer something out - frightened and jealous.

Now, probably just when George thought he could truly get away with doing nothing, here comes his worst nightmare.

Interesting to see if he tries to up his game a little over the next few weeks.

With all due repect Lonevoice, its not what you think.  I just miss his point of view. Fort Rock is a one of a kind person.

You're right.  My comment to you was mean-spirited and you didn't deserve that.  My apologies.

If they do that, PremRat can tell Jorch his C2CAM show has been cancelled and, in accordance with Jorch's new long-term contract, tell him best wishes and don't let the door hit him in the backside.  "Welcome to "Toke to Toke with J. B. Wells."

Whatever Art does, I hope he sticks to the long format.  I hate how c2c has broken up the show into 2 segments.
The whole point of the show (it seemed) was to get our sleeves rolled up and get into the topic at hand.

It sounds like a tragedy worthy of Shakespeare.   I was going to do a photoshopped cover but too lazy.

This.  I've always been able to tell that Snoory didn't really have any interest when c2c had a paranormal topic show.  He's extra phoning-it-in when he does those topics, since it's not of interest to him.  Now he can have his boring old alternative health and current events shows.  That is, if Clear Channel allows him to deviate from the classic c2c formula.

I can see Premier changing the format of the show and running with that for a while and see how it works out.

Believe it or not George does have fans, they are not us, but he does have them. George, if nothing else, is a loyal employee. I doubt Premier would fire him. I can see him in the afternoon time slot. The kind of topics he likes and his style is more suited for that time of day.

I wouldn't be surprised if they just went with "Coast" and dropped the rest.  That's what Jorch does all night anyways. He coasts.  ::)

Enjoy your "special George Time" Coast Insiders,  the rest of us are off to more thrilling things with Art.  8)

Believe it or not George does have fans,

Do a search of "george noory". what comes up are several noory sucks links, a link to a thread about his aliens show (which btw, has postings about how he sucks). Granted I didn't do a thorough read through, but there weren't any forums praising him. He may well have fans, (wait for it) even hitler had friends.

I have no crystal ball but I think team noory may well be worried.

My favorite all time host for C2C obviously is Art bell (otherwise why would I be in this forum lol). Of current hosts, my favorite is George Knapp.  My worry is that Art would replace Knapp.... Knapp DOES host tonight.  What if maybe this is his last show, and they haven't told him yet. Possibility is there. Going by the timeline bar for Art making his announcement, it seems to make sense that this will come out AFTER Knapp's show tonight. I would MUCH rather see Wells go than Knapp. I would love for Snoory to be part time, and Art full time... but I doubt that is in the cards for us.

Shockwave

Somewhere deep below the Earth...  lol.

As is well documented the chances of Art returning to Coast are nil. Secondly, Knapp is not only his personal friend but has worked with him for over 20 years. If anything, he and Knapp are both probably looking forward to the soonest opportunity to get Knapp off of the Coast train and onto Team Bell.

I do hope you are right.... That would definitely be an awesome fit.  But I am in the camp that C2C is going to bring him back. I bet you dollars to donuts they have made up, and Art has a contract there again.... Guess we will see!

Believe it or not, people who post on forums are a small minority, and even a smaller minority  would even bother going to forums and websites to complain.

The first online Art only stream I ever found was in '04, and it was called "GeorgeNoorySucks".

If I can bear to listen lately, the Nooron does get plenty of screened ass kissers to tell him how great he is.  If you listen closely, you can hear his head inflating.

On the other hand, Art was always humble if anyone tried to give him huge compliments... he would cut them off or say "I am just a talk show host," and get on with the program.

Fort Rock did the Klingon Special Forces Platoon get you yet? If not remember your S.E.R.E.s training.

As I stated earlier in this thread, Ft. Rock and insurgent group "The Scorpion Army" were holding Tony Stark in a cave somewhere in the mountains... It now appears that Mr. Stark has constructed some sort of iron suit of armor and fought his way to freedom. It is unknown how much of the Scorpion Army survived the ordeal...

That makes my point for me. This forum is a small percentage of bell fans that also and probably more to the fact dislike noory.

Where is noory's small slice of fandom? There have been at least two attempts for a supportive forum for him and they both failed.
