Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

Maybe I'll write a book on that topic and see if I can get on Coast.  Though I don't know if I can talk enough to hold up an interview by sNoory.

this reminds me of a plan we once had to develop a fictional character who has written some bullshit book for the explicit purpose of getting this person on c2c as a guest. we were actually going to create a name, website, etc. and seriously pursue the whole thing.  like many great plans, it fizzled and was forgotten.  there was even a secret, non-public board right here on coastgab where the whole thing was being hatched.   ahhhhhh... memories.

Long ago sNoory was repeatedly announcing he would retire December 22nd, 2012, the day after Mayan doomsday.

Has anyone else noticed that he no longer mentions retirement? That bastard better retire.

yeah, i think that's actually been revised to 2018, which he seems to love rubbing in the face of his critics... or "haters" as he prefers to see them.

Now of course Colbert is brilliant, but asking interesting questions is what any person who hosts a talk program should be able to do!

Important operative word:  should.

Antigravity & Free Energy

Mon 06-25
Former space science museum curator Richard C. Hoagland will discuss startling results from experiments supporting the scientific basis for real "anti-gravity spaceships," as well as "free energy" generators that can eliminate our fatal dependence on fossil fuels.

First Hour: Brain researcher Neil Slade comments on a report of a man who died after going for 11 nights without sleep, and other topics.

Just the way George likes to start the week off:  An hour discussing some weird way to die, followed by one of his bullshitters - Richard C - talking about bullshit.

George will be in the other room wih Tommy, grunting pointlessly into the mic every once in awhile.  Perfect.

Stare at the eyes while you try to listen to Hoagland... Stare.. Look directly in

Sardondi

Not to interrupt a well-deserved ass-kicking of Hoagland, but I just realized something: we haven't heard from Jasmine in 2-3 weeks at least. I for one don't like that. Anyone aware of the reason she's AWOL?

If he doesn't retire, he would most surely be rolled out of the studio "on a gurney", exactly as Noory frequently (and prophetically) says now and then over the air. :o

Frys Girl

George Noory's introduction of Richard C. Hoagland last night was disgusting. I'd call it a bromance, but it's too sinister to be called that. He introduced him like it was an NBA game. "Richard. C. HOOOOAGLAND!!!!" These two have no shame.

I have not listened to the last several hours of Coast yet, so I did not hear the intro. Could it be that George considers RC a part of the winning Coast team, after all he is the Science Advisor?

VtaGeezer

The sound of Hoagland's voice gets an immediate whack on the OFF button.  Hoagland is the worst thing about Noory's C2C.  I can't take any of the old Bell regulars anymore...they've all worn out their shtick, but Hoagland is the worst.

I have to say, I was a bit on the fence where Noory was concerned, and really just listened to specific shows for the guests. It has been getting harder and harder to overlook some of the stuff that Noory detracts from the show. Just this weekend we had Noory in Toronto for a live stage event with Stanton Friedman and Michael Cremo, and I mainly attended to see those two.  What does George do to his captive audience?  He brings out a keyboardist and guitar player, and starts singing. Omg wtf!! Then he brings up some girl from the front row and starts dancing to the slow song he was singing.  He meant it as something classy, but to me it all came off as kinda creepy.  Not to mention the other girl he brought on stage to wear his Detroit Red wings shirt for the duration of the event.  Came across as more of a creepy old guy getting eye time with some ladies. Everybody boo'ed him for the fact this is Toronto and he is bringing out a detroit shirt.  Not sure what he was trying to accomplish there, bit of a snub than anything. Then he tells some jokes, and then mentions that whole retiring thing at 2012.  He jokes about him and Tom making a pact for him to do that.  Then he says he has no plans for ever doing that, lol.  Sorry to burst your bubble guys.

Anyway, after getting to see him in person and catching his vibe, I have to agree with a lot of what is being said about him. I honestly think he doesn't have the passion, and at the end of the day its just a job for him.  With that singing and some of the remarks he was making, a bit of head a trip too.

Thanks very much for that Dispatch From The Front. It confirms everything those of us who post in this thread have suspected about Simple George's 'appearances'.

The singing and the dancing are every bit as creepy as I suspected his self-obsessed schtick would be. The thought makes me throw up in my mouth a little.

George Noory not only sucks, he blows, and if he actually lasts as the host until 2018, I'll seek out Richard C. Hoagland and kiss him on the mouth. No way this stupid, pompous hump does this job another six years.

That is completely brutal my friend, and you had to pay to be abused like this.  On the other hand, if given the opportunity to organize a You Suck campaign at an event like this, where a group of like-minded people could voice their discontent while that jerk-off is on stage, that might be worth the price of admission.

I should also mention that Noory said on Friday night that he held a birthday party for his 18-year-old granddaughter and hired an Elvis impersonator as the entertainment.

Think about the selfishness and self-obsession that sort of act involves. An Elvis impersonator for a party for an 18-year-old? Noory himself said that his granddaughter let him know that she wasn't happy about it.

George Noory sucks, blows, and cares nothing for members of his own family. Fuck you, dirtbag.

I kinda figured that wouldn't surprise you guys.  Thankfully when Stanton was talking, George hardly interrupted him and let him do most of the talking. A couple times Tom came out and gave George some notes, and right in the middle of the guest talking, he starts reading the notes and you can tell that he really wasn't listening.  Immediately after asking Cremo a question with such great interest, just as Cremo starts giving a well thought out answer, George starts reading from the note and you can tell he really wasn't listening. It actually tripped up Cremo and he stumbled over his thoughts and words for a moment, much like if someone were to ask you a question that they seem interested in and as soon as you start talking they start doing something else with disinterest. It would trip me up for sure. With the radio, the guest and audience don't get to see that.  Kinda makes me clue in to all the times George seems like he hasn't been listening to guests with the odd questions already explained, cutting off to another topic in the middle of an explanation etc.  He's probably doing something else out of boredom or something of more important self interest. Ugggh

Ya, like getting tazed in the balls!  I only stayed because of the guests at that point, which were great to listen to. Cremo and Stanton were the show, the rest was just delusional.

Oh, and Richard Dolan was in the audience which I thought was pretty cool. He stuck around after the show to talk to people in the crowd.

Holy crap. What a total cheese fest. All he's missing is a dance number. "And on today's show Merv will host Burgess Meredith and the lovely Chita Rivera, and will present the sophisticated song stylings of Englebert Humperdinck." Just....holy crap.

Ya, that is self interested. The scary part is he may not even see it as that, hence the granddaughter needing to explain it. I knew a guy like that, everything revolved around what he wanted. Every reason for doing something no matter who it involved, always had to benefit him directly. When asked the reason for making those decisions, not once would they reflect the fact that he was doing it for himself.  Always a convoluted reason that when you look at the logic, didn't make complete sense. I came to realize he fully believed those reasons, and it wasn't just making up excuses just for other to believe. He fooled himself into believing his own excuses.

Seriously...

I remember him saying that 'they got it wrong' when referring to some well-established scientific fact, though I can't remember what it was.

Other than that it sounded like he was trying to get money to build a free energy machine. Ever heard of conservation of energy, asshole?

Oh look, they posted a video of it on the main C2C website. Here is a direct link:

Coast to Coast George Noory singing Elvis live in Toronto

Hard to believe but  I'm actually embarrassed for Lounge Lizard Noory. What the hell was he thinking? Just when you think he can't sink any lower, he surprises you and hits a new low.

Totally narcissistic and creepy performance. My condolences on being forced to watch that, cmotors.

Darisi

The one sure way to get Noory off c2c is to pressure the sponsors by either a writing campaign or by publicky denouncing or boycotting the products. Money talks and bullshit Noory walks.
