yep Linda is at the Joshua Tree event later this week

Wow Noory actually sounds proficient at English reading this soldier poem.

So will Noory and Church.  Awkward much?

Dannion Brinkley may help some people but it should be noted that he fudged some things in his own history, and for this, got a mention in the book Stolen Valor.

Another show makin g people feel bad for using pharmaceuticals.

The combination of George and this guest may actually be the kind of thing that makes listeners lose IQ points, so I'm shutting it off and going to bed in a few moments.

I believe that George made the brilliant observation that dogs eat grass and this led the guest to suggest that dogs are wiser than us because they eat their own shit. I've about had it with these guests and hosts who insult the listener.

Hogan's Heroes not Hogan's Hero.

Ha, I'm glad you mentioned this, I thought that's what I heard.  It was right after saying "One of my favorite shows ...", which he doesn't even know what it's called.

Noory just made me hate his bumpers even more.  Played friggin Coldplay.  I ... hate ... friggin ... Coldplay.

Sounds like Bob Crane was an early idol of Noory, his show was one of his dad's favorite TV shows and Crane started on radio and moved to TV and movies.
Thats what Noory has been trying to do, but hasn't managed to get his own real TV show, only some small internet streaming videocast...

Are you saying Noory is secretly a cam girl? ;D

So when does Dave start filming his own porno videos?

Is that why his show is titled "Beyond Belief?"  8)

This segment is so badly done it's a low even for Noory. I do wonder if he'll get a call from Pee Wee Herman's lawyers in the morning.

We will know what is up if he, or Tommy dies from autoerotic asphixiation.

Then he asked what Crane's favorite hunches were.  Dear god, can July come fast enough?

Izintit?

It really looks like Noory is having a harder time getting legitimate authors to come on his show. Can you blame them? Who wants to do the hard work of researching and writing a book just to be asked the same inane questions by a buffoon that obviously hasn`t read your book so therefore cannot delve into the subject matter. Being "interviewed" by Incurious George could actually cost an author book sales. GNS

Whoa....No Linda this Thursday? Don't feel sorry for me, but I really look forward to LMH Thursdays. Anyone know why? Has she been fired? Has George officially given up on her?
She told Jorch she was going to "have a headache" this Thursday.

That's the way I see it.  It must be very difficult to do a daily show of this sort.  Interesting and original guests do not fall from trees and a lot of the old standbys have expired like old fruit.
A rare/great host can make a boring topic/guest interesting, though, and Art has that talent.  He has an inquisitive mind and can take you places that you never thought to go.  Hearing Art work is somewhat like watching an artist paint. He makes the show an experience.  How many times had I listened, had a question pop into my head, just to hear him asking that question at that very moment.  How many times did HE ask a question that helped me to see something in a totally different light?
Art has talent, something which is sorely lacking in broadcasting these days.  I like him because he tows no party line, he's his own person.

I hope Art is fully aware of how true that is, and which ones they are

One thing is for sure - he was raised outside the mainstream American culture. He knows next to zip about anything that was going on during his youth and teen years. While most people his age revere the Beatles,Stones, etc. George likes Sinatra. Even through osmosis ANYBODY with a very limited exposure to other kids would be more aware of what was happening around them musically, etc. My guess is that George was raised  at his mother`s skirt, "sheltered" from the drugs and "hippies"- a momma`s boy. Finally to have his teenage rebellion in his early 20`s - about the time he started shaving. GNS
I know a woman like that.  She was raised by her grandparents who were born in the 1880s. She was born a Boomer but had the world view and attitudes of someone raised in the 1920s. Made her an emotional mess because she simply couldn't relate to her own generation.

I was thinking about him claiming that he started shaving "in his 20's." A lot of cultures (some Jews, Arabs, Urdu, Sikh, Christians etc) don't shave (and some don't even cut their hair or keep only mustache, or, like various Anabaptists/Amish shave off the mustasche- due to military connections to them in older days.) I know he says his family was Christian but I wonder if they were a part of those sects also don't shave (as it is in the Old Testament?) And his family carried on that tradition? It also might explain what appears to be Norry's sheltered childhood.

So "shaving at 20" could've been his rebellion and would coincide, assuming his stories are true, with the "rebellion" of him not following his father's plan for him to become a dentist.

ps: there were a heck of a lot of people, the majority even of teenagers, at the time that weren't smoking dope, growing their hair long, or living in communes or flop-houses or even listening to that type of music. Sure the yippies, hippies, and concert goers/protestors made the news and had a huge influence on the culture, the war, the country- but it is somewhat similar to the BLGT crowd today (though there are less of them.) People THINK there is some vast population, and it is true that their issues have great influence now, when all government surveys show that population is far <3%. ---send to politics--- sorry.

Not only can Jorch not do a decent interview, he definitely can't conduct a decent show with just him and "opeen lines."  Even he realizes it, since he obviously avoids shows without a guest of some sort, even if it's one of his life-lines like Fanthorpe.  I DARE Jorch to do an entire week of nothing but "opeen lines."  What a train wreck that would be.

I hope Bill the AAA, Cornelius aka "Corny", Annie from Alabama, Will from Madison, and a few truckers have unlimited calling plans on their phones!

That would be train-wreck week! No way Norry could handle it, he can barely handle the small amount of time he does OL and even then only picks up for the "usual suspects." Though I would rather even hear those callers than more shows about alternative health and quackery.
