He is still ranked to high though.

This forum has no haters...

Rather it is composed of those sincerely frustrated beyond tolerance for 10 years. Of sending constructive suggestion after constructive suggestion and being ignored. Of a host claiming to have spiritual revelation, but yet showing an all too obvious adolescent fascination with the trivial and demonic.

There are no coincidences we are told.
But we are left with multiple lame excuses and nonstop immature choices.

Some talk show hosts are rumored to earn $500,000 dollars per year.  $500,000 dollars per year!!  For a four day week. To read mistranscribed que cards. To surf the net as their interviewed guest talks to 3 million people.

As Art came on, Dave could have taken his show in new creative directions with his personal stamp. A different history could have evolved. Dave could have welcomed Art back with open arms and a handshake.  To take his rightful place on the airwaves. They could have shared guests. They could have interviewed each other!  But no, none of this was to be.

Instead tacky, juvenile, immature tactics were employed--- so poor as to make the Keystone Cops look like high Shakespearen drama. Does Dave really believe these antics, can in any way in the public mind, substitue for hard work, rational consideration, passion and a bit of insight and humor?

Read the damn book, before you talk about it Dave! Youre getting paid enough!

Art is perhaps the most talented talk show host on the planet. If not, darn close. Keith is a Master Jedi of web code. But marketing is a blind spot to them both. And that should make Dave thankful. So very, very thankful.

For when palm hits forehead at Dark Matter...And the realization comes "We could have been doing this all along..." Then Daves farce will disintegrate faster than the Hood, when hit with the Bismarks guns. And with substantially more pyrotechnics.
But whether word of mouth sinks Dave slowly, moment by moment, inch by inch. Or  more effective marketing catastrophically  sinks his patched contivence...

Daves last intervention is inevitable.

Dave, The Missing Dink.
Jeez, that's exactly what his purpose in life is.  He's the missing dink man! I wondered what he was all about. That's an important and very necessary job. It takes the heat off of an awful lot of folks cause he does it so well.  Thanks for being a dink George.  You're doing such an excellent job you've risen the bar for dinks, and inadvertently reduced the number of other, would have been, dinks.

Yeah thats like the bonus check for a bad year for the National guys.

Nothing is "rumors" either.  The contracts these guys sign onto are usually published in press releases.  i.e. $12M over 10 years, etc, etc.  Of course there are contractural milestones that must be reached.

+1 to the George is a moron file. He made the show spend money on a prank call detector that alerts every time he opens his mouth on air lol

Ok.  You think George Noory is a nice guy and a fine show host.  Enjoy, enjoy.

No, that's nothing close to what I said. You're like dealing with an Obama press secretary sometimes.

No. You must conform your thinking as well. Conform!

More like you must never question or say anything that isn't 100% blind hatred for Noory. What you just saw, and responded to, was a bait and switch from an actual complex statement to a talking point retort. I gave the brainy reply, he gave the simplified emotive response that really had little to do with what I said. It's simply designed to color what I said. Look familiar? I'll give you a hint, it's a tactic used in political discourse.

When Art dumps a guest, it's because it's a lousy guest.  Usually one who won't respond to his questions.  When George does it, it's because he's either bored, or the guest didn't agree with one of his goofball ideas like abiotic oil, or because George is a lousy lazy host and had to put too much effort into the doing the show.  Your post basically said Art dumped guests and George dumped guests, so it was the same.

In your post you said George is accused of not pressing guests and is also accused of being a prick to guests, and you said you couldn't figure out how that could be.  How about he doesn't press certain guests, and is a prick to others.  Come on, this isn't that difficult.

Your post went on like that with other comparisons.  There are things George does that all hosts do, except George does them sloppily, lazily, and without class.  So he gets and deserves criticism for sloppy, lazy, and unprofessionalism.

You don't want that pointed out, or if it is pointed out you wonder why Art doesn't get the same treatment.  Well, it's because Art doesn't do things in a sloppy, lazy, classless way.  Maybe you should pay more attention when you listen to their shows and you could figure this out for yourself.

Complex statement?  To me it seemed more like an uninformed statement.

You and George should really just give it up.  No one is returning to that shit show.  Art's back.

I have hellish insomnia and I live kind of a solitary existence. There have been nights in my life when C2C has been the only thing that's kept me from going insane from sleeplessness or loneliness or whatever. Old habits die hard. I'm excited that Art's back, but I'll still listen to C2C occasionally if the guest looks interesting. It's a given that the interview itself will probably frustrate me.

I use the Sirius iPhone app (or listen on my laptop). The only thing that really sucks about it is that it shuts off if I fall asleep with it playing. I wake up a few times during the night and I hate waking up to that dark silence. It's not the same as falling asleep with the radio on. (wah wah wah)

Does anyone know if the Sirius tabletop players stay on?

Seraphim27, do you ever listen to shoutcast.com?  If I know I am not going to be able to sit down at the computer, I go to shoutcast, search 'Art Bell', & listen to one of the great streams there.  Virtually commercial free (old ads, great for laughs).

That way I am lulled to sleep by hugging Art's nuts all night long.  ha haa.  ;D  The shoutcast streams play on, and on, and on..... I think you'd dig it.  Hours of Art Bell fun... spare yourself the torture of The Nooron & Wells The Great Fearmongerer.

Very much so. He's acting extremely badly.

alleyrulez

no way in Hell that I can read over 1200 pages.   :D

regarding my own dislike of Noory; when Noory first took over the show, I had no issue with him. I was able to tolerate the show while Siegel was on, and I enjoyed Ian quite a bit.

in time, it became painfully obvious how wrong of a fit Noory was for C2C.

his asskissing and general unprofessional-ism started to wear on me after a while. not to mention all of the commercials he did. yeah, I know, Art did more than his fair share.

the recent activity on the part of C2C shows just how desperate they are getting.

they know that, with Art back, they have to actually start DOING something.

I think he should just change the show into a poorly done right wing tea party show for insomniacs.  George thinks awfully well of himself.  People are pretty loyal to Art.  And, there are a lot of like-minded shows out there for those that do not like either guy.  I never listen to George anymore if I can help it.

Silly ass.  Does he still come here?

No, I asked what your standards for all of this were and you tried to BS your way out with a talking point for some reason. Then you give me theories, such as "George is lazy". Well, ok. You must know him better than I do, apparently.

I haven't listened since Oates other than to see if the stolen guest said anything about DM. You're the one still banging on about the suckage. I'd say there's a good chance you're tuning in.

George is exactly what he has been described here and further more, unprofessional.

I do not understand why George believes that he must protect our constitutional rights.   I don't need him to protect the Constitution; I needed him to do his job for the last ten years and stop driving me crazy.

Now, he has started a fight with someone who will eventually clean his clock.  So dumb.

You are either really dense or work for Premier.  You could also be a fan/groupie of the noron - which would also indicate you're really dense.
