George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No
No

SnapT

THIS is why Noory is always asking what a genius like Albert Einstein could've accomplished if he had a computer.

Because he KNOWS THE ANSWER.

GEORGE has a computer, and last night he demonstrated exactly what a genius could accomplish with one!

Pure magic.

Whoever came up with the call out idea, I at least thought it was pretty smart.  He jumped right on it, incorporated subtle details from the call, and did it all without disrupting the show and alerting the mass audience to any drama.  I like to give credit where it's due  :)

If he could apply that sleuthing ability to his interviews we'd be in good shape.

It was mildly amusing, but I'm guessing his entire staff had to tell him "GEORGE, IT WAS A PRANK. THAT WAS A PRANK CALLER WHO WASN'T BEING SERIOUS. LET'S CHECK THUH HATER SITE & SEE IF THEY'RE SAYUN' ANYTHING."

Sherlock Noory he is not.

I think George and the gang are lucky to have everyone here listening to their show.  I'm sure this board and all the guests make up 30% of the listening audience these days.

Excellent site.  Now I know that I am not the only one thinking, did he really just say that? best...bette

Has Gotham City activated the Bat(e)man signal tonight?

I feel a little bad thinking about the screener who must be getting reamed out night after night, but the potential for comedy outweighs that pang of guilt.

I wouldn't worry too much about Dumheiser or any others.  It's all blamed on thuh 'haters'.  George has more fellow victims to commiserate with.

Pranking call-in shows is a time honored tradition.

~20 million listeners vs. MAYBE 3 million? Yeah, she knows what she's talking about.
Remember Noory counts his growth by total number of radio station affiliates, not total listeners.
Also Noory doesn't take into account the broadcast power of all the stations he has now, apparently he lost a lot of the big high power stations and traded them for smaller lower power stations in many markets, but he claims just under 600 total stations which isn't that much more than Art was at when he last retired (500+)

Plus I don't recall Jesse Jackson ever expressing a desire to cut Clinton's nuts off.

It's a good thing that Monica Lewinsky kept that desire in check.

(Not) George Noory: "What if she had vampire fang teeth?"

All valid points.

Heh. Can anyone photoshop Snoory into Heath Ledger's place?

See WJR Detroit. Noory's "hometown". Well the hatred is mutual because WJR dropped him. 50,000 watts of power. Someone once claimed to hear it faintly in Mexico on a clear night.

Now the "detroit" affiliate is actually CKLW. Which is actually from Canada. LOL..

Thats right no radio station in Noory's "hometown" will carry his horrid show.
Again Detroit thinks Noory sucks!

I have to agree.  Georgie is always droning on about his grandkids, even though he does like the dead/mutilated children "shtories".  So he was probably thinking, aww, a cute little baby.  I'm sure Tommie or someone then had to "exshplain" to Georgie that sorry big guy, you just got pranked.  I seriously don't think the guy is very bright.  I would love to see his college "transhcripts."

Oh, man, I remember when "C - K - L - W.......M O T O R  C I T Y Y Y Y Y" rocked in the 60s and early '70s.  They've gone from "The King of Rock" to "The King of Suck?"  It's like how Detroit has gone from "Motown" to "Notown."  :(

Is there an mp3 of Dave's reference to bateman?

I'm curious about this too. He's definitely no genius, but I do wonder how much of his schtick is just laziness, combined with a general disinterest in the subject matter, or genuine stupidity.

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle, but I think it's clear that he figured out he gets paid the same whether he puts in the effort or just sits there for 4 hours with his thumb up his ass fantasizing about that turkey sandwich after the show.

Just getting caught up on last night's shenaniganses.

BATEMAN: HAHAHAHA....  And seriously, why pick on Himmler? He's never been on Coast. I'm worried your brother's baby's soul is shared with Hoagland.

MV: I'm pretty sure that email is cyberbullying. I would not stand for that if I were you. I'd sue Premrat, Dave, and Coast to Coast Hardware just to be safe. Or hang on to it when Dave does his cyberbullying show and call in about how you're being harassed by a national talk show host because one of your users calls his show.

... as well as the FBI's CARNIVORE

It's called CARNIVORA. And don't worry about the FBI. There was a time when only the president could get it, and I heard Reagan took it all.

Alumnus Profile: George Noory '72

Noory
George Noory '72
When the popular Coast to Coast AM radio talk show host, George Noory, graduated from the University of Detroit in 1972 with a bachelor's degree in Communications, he also had on-the-job experience as a TV production assistant and a radio reporter. Noory always knew he was meant to be in broadcasting, but after two years of pre-dental school at U-D, getting there meant he had to take matters into his own hands.

"I switched majors without telling my parents," says Noory. "My dad looked at my report card and was impressed with the grades, but he was upset that I switched majors without telling him."

I'm guessing there was quite a contrast between his pre-dental and communications grades.

My degree is in Broadcast Journalism. Many of us came to school drunk. It's like the easiest degree to get. Washington State University is a HUGE party school. They also have a HUGE Communications program. Not a coincidence.

NoMoreNoory

If anyone's planning to go under the wire tonight, I would suggest maintaining radio silence about it beforehand. We know they're watching: don't give them any heads-ups. By all means break cover here afterwards - like with The Mighty Bateman's first call - and we'll all have fun over it: but no point discussing planned content or timing here first. Those intern screeners must be bricking it as it is, let's not lighten the load.
As you were.....

I strongly suspect the choice of George (made unilaterally by Kraig Kitchin at Premiere) was based solely on his malleable nature. In George they have everything they want, if their goal is to have someone so grateful for their job that they'll never complain.  He is and he won't.

Who else would read a commercial for The Psychic Pill?!   I'm sure you can point out many examples.

900+ pages worth, Rollye.

I think we all suspected someone at C2C reads this thread, but now we have proof.

Listening to that clip made me think, WTF happened to Ross Mitchell? Sounds like I missed something when I stopped listening to Dave's C2C.

Come on now no picking on Detroit, noory does enough of that. Also the tigers a rolling and crushed the mistake on the lake (Cleveland) tonight.

I heard CKLW used to play rock but I wasn't alive at the time. I used to like to listen to golden age radio on Sunday nights. They would play Lone Ranger and old radio shows really cool.

Yeah, I'm sure he "shtruggled" with the science classes and was much more capable of the liberal arts-type classes.  No slam intended to liberal arts folks, I have a BA myself.
