George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No

Hulet is worse than Jones, by a mile.  At least Jones isn't a fucking racist.  But not a peep from Shameless George. Or anyone else it seems. A disgraceful segment on a show that's gone rotten while hosted by a spineless creep.

Ted was to smart to be compared to That Idiot Noory.  Noory IS Les Nessman.

Les Nessman is good.

I kind of think of Georgie as Frank Burns.  The grown-up version of the hall monitor always trying to ruin all the fun for everyone else.  No one likes him.  He is the butt of everyone's jokes.  No one respects him.  He is incompetent at his job.  They both love being in command too, but neither of them can handle it.

I am being apolitical in this post, but his comments about Obama last night were disrespectful, and that is being mild.  I did not listen to every comment, actually it was on as background noise.  I believe it was something like, "I knew our civil rights would be infringed by some ____Democrat, but I never thought it would be by some black Democrat."  That is not the word for word comment, but it made a specific reference to Obama's race, and to me that is racist, not political.

BTW:  Turkey has plenty of problems itself

So does America.

How does profiling work again? How has it worked?

Should American citizens who are Muslim be profiled? Kept better track of? Why are Muslims who grew up in a stable environment very unlikely to become a terrorist? They were raised with the same values as Muslims elsewhere right?

I still don't know why he bothers getting the correspondants on.  Like tonight, he asks one stupid rhetorical question, gets part of an answer, then says thanks and hangs up on them - often mid-sentence too.  Like Captain Kelly tonight, he was on for like 25 seconds, why bother?

George's transitions are so poor as well.  He poses a question and leads into the guest but rarely bothers to say hi first on these 30-second sound bites.  This is always funny with Captain Kelly, who makes sure to say "Ahoy" since George never says hello to him.  And this from a Navy man?

Just another example of how mediocre C2C has become.  Art would address news items of the day that interested him and give his thoughtful, intelligent, cogent comments and assessment, and maybe a different slant from would normally be reported.  Noory is incapable of anything close to something such as that.  With Jorch, it's just Tweedle"dummkopf" and Tweedle"twit".  ::)

Ah, the comment that actually caused me to raise from my couch and turn off the radio.  I believe he said that we are loosing our freedoms to a black, liberal democrat and that he always knew that we would loose them to a liberal democrat (this time said without the reference to race) but he always knew that it would not be to a republican government.  When George could not even ask about the race reference nor ask a follow up to that (remind me who brought in the patriot act and started warentless phone taps) I decided that it is not worth listening to.  The problem with actually listening to this crap is that they wear you down.  One good point is made which you agree with, or you are not constantly on your guard and actively thinking about what they are saying in order to debate it and refute it in your own mind and suddenly crap has entered your head until your opinions slowly change.

I will listen to both right and left, purposely read books that challenge my thought and beliefs and even listen to crackpots (on the far right and left fringes) for shot periods of time.  However, when you listen to only one side for too long and it is extreme you eventually stop questioning what is being said.  I just had my fill prior to listening in last night.  Oh, for the days when Coast was for the paranormal rather than a political platform and I could actually let my mind remain a little open to what was being discussed rather than turn off the radio...

Hence, my recommendation they would be better to interview J.C. for four hours.

There are so many ridiculous and hateful things Hulet has said in the past and in this interview alone that I didn't specify what had motivated me to post that.  It was either the point that he identified Obama as a black president, or his blaming of Obama for the bombings because he was holding Yemen detainees, or his constant justifying of the Oklahoma City bombings, or his assertion that it is Obama who has cracked down on personal liberties and not the wonderful defender of the constitution George Bush with his Homeland Security that led me to think he and many guests are less reasonable and less grounded in reality than someone who has been identified as an actor paid to make crazy prank calls.

I keep adding things but I think it was the black comment that really got to me.

NoMoreNoory

Mark Stavish was a decent guest last night, in spite of Noory's inanities. Questions like 'What does hermetic mean?' and 'The Freemasons built a lot of great edifices. What did they use them for?' opened up the usual sinkholes of ignorance. His repeated mush mouthing of 'ee-soh-terrickism' was hilarious, as also 'Rosy-krerrshun'.
He solemnly informed us he would be 'monitoring' events in Texas at the 'fertilizer explosion plant'. Ah, well, no wonder there was an explosion if they're in the business of manufacturing them. He kept on describing it as 'in-kruh-dubull'. Really, Joorch? Fire + fertilizer (used for explosives) = explosion. Beggars belief, doesn't it?
He self-importantly announced at the top of the show that he was keeping a speshull line open for callers from West Texas. Not a one.
But the high point for me was this, as Joorch brings up Stephen Hawking's assertion that he can describe the Big Bang without the need for God or a Creator. The Great And Powerful Noory sent the young upstart Hawking on his way with a condescending pat on the head and a gentle clip around the ear.

'Hawking, you know, I like what he does. I understand him, and I think he's very good at what he does, but there are days when I think he's off-base, you know, when he doesn't think the divine had anything to do with it.'

Breathtaking.

When I heard what he said about Hawking I was like  :o :o :o :o :o  ...but then I remembered George Noory SUCKS!

I would love to see Noory on celebrity Wheel of Fortune and continually be in a position to solve the puzzle but can't do to how poorly he pronounces everything.

I must have poor hearing.  Everyone always comments on Noory's poor pronunciation.  I know he trips over the odd word he should know but I find his regular mispronunciations quite subtle and his diction clear and polished.

You are racist IF  you think certain groups or cultures are more apt at doing something.
I'm not racist and yet I disagree with you.

I imagine most racists don't think they are racist. I think everyone is racist to some extent.

coaster

I think certain groups of people are more likely to do something than another group. Thats not racism, thats just common sense. I think angry white folk are more apt to put on pointy hoods and burn crosses. There are certain situations where I think racial profiling can be useful. That may just be racist ole me however..

I would have a hard time arguing this point. But as with most if not all things it is contextual. I watched a show called Vice a week or so ago. It showed young muslim boys in the 9 to 10 year old range. Being taught by their religious leaders that the boys wouldn't die if they wore an explosive vest. Guess what? the young boys believed them.

Having seen that video, not only am I horrified, I am also worried about the escalation of hatred for those that are not in the hands of the religious whacknuts. And now add a couple low brows on this side of the equation and... well the dilemma seems obvious.

But back to my other post. I don't mean to say having some racism makes anyone a monster, acting with violence without an accurate target does make a monster.

Spineless is the operative word here. Art, Ian and George Knapp would have called Hulet out on that remark, but maybe Noory buys into what he said. Judging from the calibre of his political *experts*, I wouldn't be surprised. Under Noory, C2C has gone down the rabbit hole, and it won't recover as long as he continues to push his agenda of looney political commentators and medical quacks. The C2C that Art built is dead, has been dead for a long time, and in it's place is a show that cravenly panders to the gullible and the paranoid, the only bright spots one or two Sundays a month when Knapp is on. I'm not surprised Hulet was a guest, and I'm not surprised Noory didn't speak up. He really is a dimwit, pretending he's a journalist. As if.

Full agreement. I don't have the feeling that Noory is racist, but he is an intellectual coward of the first water. He challenges guests on nothing, but will often call them out the following day or so when he's back on safe ground. As you say, Art, Ian or Knapp would at least have asked Hulet to clarify his words about Obama.
It is NoMoreNoory's opinion that the time has come to challenge Prem Rat. If they won't sack the host and save Coast, drop the name and re-brand it The George Noory (Comedy) Show, which is what it's become.
If anyone has those Prem Rat emails, can they re-post them?

I didn't find any e-mail addresses, but here are snail mail addresses to their offices around the country, including their home office in Sherman Oaks, CA.

BTW, I hope someone here caught the open lines segment the other night following the Black-Eyed Kids interview.  A caller brought up the fact that some young people are getting their eyeballs tattooed so that they look black. DisGeorge then ended the call by going into a story that lasted a full 6-minutes about how he had lasik eye surgery back in 1997. I waited for him to somehow, however lamely, tie it back to the call but no such luck. WTF?! Must have been nobody on the phones.

I would think that to an extent every one of us really is.  I recall Colbert years ago pretending that he was completely not racist and as such he could not even see colour and could not tell if the person sitting in front of him was black or white.  It was classic and a made a lot of statements if you took the time to consider it.

I discuss racism fairly often with a friend who sometimes experiences racism first hand.  I live in a very mixed neighbourhood.  I will admit that if I see 15 young, black kids outside of the 7-11 I am heading into that there is a sudden pang of anxiety that is not there if they are white.  I remind myself that I have yet to be assaulted by anyone of colour (and thanks to working as a bouncer for a few years many white people have attempted to get a hit in...)  I am fine and away I go with my rational mind prevailing.  Is it racist?  I suppose to an extent- but I do not act on it. This, according to my friend, does not make me racist despite the pang of anxiety experienced based exclusively on skin colour (feel free to argue.)

There is no doubt that we all notice colour.  Most of us have some preconceptions (whether or not we choose to suppress them or act on them.)  I am guessing that the point that had been made that statistically a Muslim male is more likely that a white person to plant a bomb may be true.  However, as soon as we start treating all Muslims like terrorists and searching them (while ignoring the fact that white people do still plant bombs occasionally) we create a division for no reason. This is even more true when the state decides to treat an individual in a certain manner based on racial profiling.  It creates and reinforces divisions.  It marginalizes the individual and not the group.

I was lucky enough to hear the incredible shhtory about Snoory's lasik.  Yawn.  It was just another example like the pizza roll how he freaked out about some small life detail, completely blew it out of proportion, and frantically called the doctor to say he thought his eyeball flap had fallen off.  Right George.  And yes, waited for the tie-in, nope, just went back to those "good old ohhnpen lines".

Probably just a subjective thing.  For me, his many speech impediments are like nails on a chalkboard.  Every word that has an "s" that becomes "sh" for example, "shpecial ohnpen lines".  And then words like "powerful" he can't say in the ads - it's something like "phorfull imune defense".  For me each infraction may not be huge, but the sheer quantity is what is so distracting.

Roy Hinkley

Oh boy, Snoory is excited to see 1600 kids and young children - I thought they were the same - but anyway.  I hope nothing happens to a poor kid on the way to school - George will love that.

He did it again - kids and children - what's the difference?

NoMoreNoory

Way to start, moron. Right at the top, he leads with the FBI publishing photos of two suspects in the Boston bombing. And then proceeds to describe them as 'low lifes'. Fucking prick. Suspects, Noory. Guilty of nothing and may yet turn out to be as innocent as the rest of us. Once more: not fit for purpose.

George on what will be testified about at the citizen's hearing: "Many people have had an extra-terrestrial regularly engaging the human race"

Who knows what that means.

You are probably right about it being subjective except it has been a common bash against Noory everywhere I've seen Noory suck sites forever.  I guess once you allow yourself to become aware of it, it grates on you and you can't not hear it.

Hard to say.  I remember Noory telling the story about Will Smith's son meeting the president.  He kept referring to him as a little kid, but I wouldn't exactly describe a 13 year old as a little kid -- especially having looked at his picture.  He looked pretty grown up for his age.
