In truth I think he speaks perfectly clearly, flubs about once an hour or less, DOES drift but otherwise asks questions at about the same level as anyone else in broadcast media (which I consider to be dumbed down. That's one of the reasons I liked Art, he'll ask a technical question without hesitation and assume people know what he's talking about) and I have never detected a disingenuous attitude beyond that required to interview a numerologist or a werewolf in the first place.

I would suggest you listen more closely. His questions are generally disconnected from one another and the guest's recent responses.

The only way we're gonna get rid of $noorge is if a turmeric warehouse is hit by a superstorm, its walls burst and the contents sweep into either his studio or his cave deep below the earth and he's washed out to sea or towards hell and drowns.
But ... sci fi, I've HEARD him say stuff that is so stupid that I turn the radio off. And in my apartment, I usually listen to him when I'm doing dishes or cooking something and my radio is on the kitchen cabinet immediately above the stove.
Anymore and with any random program you could choose, its only usually a couple of minutes of airtime before he comes out with a Nooryism and I'm forced to turn the radio off in disgust. And I've been hearing this kind of crap since the first time the guy came on the air and since I've lived in this closet ... err, apartment for now going into the 11th year, that's a lot of listening.
I used to listen to him in the bedroom and usually he'd put me to sleep with his droning patter.
With DM, Art didn't do that but I'm older than I was in 1990 when I started and I just can't always stay awake to listen. During the short tenure of DM, my body kept demanding I go to sleep NOW. I guess its a penalty of getting older, being all of 61 1/2. I also start getting sleepy every day around 4 or 5 and it even interferes with my driving sometimes. My body seems to have this need to nap that's almost uncontrollable.
Oh, one more thing. I have about 150 shows on my Itunes including Noory shows and I'm sure with editing I could copy any Nooryisms to my Iphone as a video and put them on You Tube so you could " see " the Nooryisms as they came straight off the program.

It's more than that. His questions don't reflect the content of the discussion at all, and worse are often nonsensical in the extreme. And this isn't a rare thing, it happens pretty much every show.

You mention sampling 20 pages of this thread at a time and checking for accuracy among claims within. I would suggest you do the same with a set of George's questions. I think you'll find that there are bigger problems than wandering.

I get that you may feel George has been over severely maligned on this thread and that the complaints about him are due to herd mentality here. I would argue you are turning a deaf ear to the actual content that now makes up the show. I say this with an admitted margin of error as I haven't been a regular listener in years but caught one or two over the summer.

Some of them are not made up, I've said that. He does misspeak. He does say things in an odd way. But a lot of it is BS. The lisp is a fine example, it doesn't exist. If it does, it's a one off that most people would have never noticed.

No, actually I have a lot of problems with the content. I said that, the health and wellness shows have the feel of infomercials, and anyone passing through on the dial is going to conclude that it is one. That would seem like a big problem to me.

It's the herd mentality, you're seeing Art get trashed in the same way in the Quit thread. It will only get worse. Just kick back and watch. What I'm saying will be readily evident over the next month if Art doesn't solve his issue with SXM.

There is more than sufficient evidence to at least state that noory is lacking as a host. Like him or not, playing devil's advocate,  is kind of silly. Hey if someone likes noory, hell some people like S&M. But to argue the validity due to herd mentality... well some like S&M.

I think you oversimplify the response of the user base to both Art and Noory. People have unique reasons for feeling the way they do and more than enough justification for anger and bashing. It's not hard to look at the most vocal and predict that popular opinion will swing the fans against Art, but that was pretty much a given with the way his leaving was handled. I don't think it's justified to credit all of that to herd mentality. If I misunderstand your point of view please enlighten me.

It's more about a kernel being placed, regardless of the reason that caused it. The internet works that way, things go viral, books break out, and criticism seethes and grows. Eventually it leaves the bounds of the real and drifts off into orbit with things said that have no basis in anything.
