Anyone else have this problem with IE8?

    Blank pages. In essence, the URL indicates the browser has surfed to the address, the load bar at the bottom indicates everything has finished loading, but the page remains blank. Neither closing the tab and trying a fresh one, nor closing IE itself and restarting it fixes the problem, only rebooting.

      If any of y'all have any insights, I'd be grateful.

Funny thing is that is a "feature", not a bug!!!

Just click the "compatibility mode" button on the pages that don't show up.  Its between the address bar and the green arrow.  You can also go to
Tools>Internet Options - Advanced tab, check "Automatically recover from rendering errors with Compatibility View"

Well I'll be dipped!

Could that be true of the latest firefox as well?  I've had that happen a few times - more than a few actually.
