He is professional. Just the opposite of the other jokers that are on C2C. Notice how Ian P seems to be falling off a log when his program starts, no introduction, no nothing, just rambling shit coming out of his mouth.

Lol, That was too funny, First time I heard Michio Kaku last night, I must be dumb or something cause I swear he put me to sleep in the first hour,I thought I was back in school. But you are right, he is not like a lot of the other guests. He sounded very professional and seems like a nice guy who actually does research and not pull shit out of his ass.

I love Knapp, but I really don't think the bumper music needs to be constantly stated and restated. Just list all the bumper music on the website with clips so people can find what they want. Maybe say the artist/track every now and then if they introduce something new to the mix, but other than that, enh. Not needed. No one else on radio seems to do that anyways. At least, no one I listen to.

Yeah, I know Ian's intro schtick is supposed to be less "showbiz" than the others with his cold open stuff "mic check - can you adjust the volume, I need a little more gain - ok, better ... so I was walking my dog today - oh, hello, welcome to Coast to Coast AM - anyway, I found a vintage 1947 Spiderman comic ..." but C2CAM is all about showbiz so it goes dead flat.

I remember some months ago some caller called in and did his thing with George and then said "oh one more thing" and George was like "what?" and the guy goes like "you need to work on your intro, George Knapp has you beat in intros" and George N.'s voice goes totally flat and he's like "whaddya expect me to say?" and the caller is like "George Knapp's intro builds interest and momentum with his burning out the Mojave desert like a Scirocco line" and then George N. disconnected him and goes "well we don't have deserts in St. Louis - ha!" or something totally inane that showed he didn't get it at all.

The best intro line of course is Art with "across all the world's time zones, each of them covered by this program like a blanket" -- his emphasis on "like a blanket" conveys this sense that you're part of this giant machine that's lumbering through the cosmos when you're listening to the show.
