Thank You for the very enjoyable company tonight bellgabbers!!!   :-*

Good night! Crazy discussion on the air. I could use some good ghost stories after that.

Ok, you Tincup and etc say need to watch so I will. I usually like to listen to stuff but will watch. I think though that reading and listening are more important things. It is like a slippery slope (not the supposed fallacy) to to the LCD but I would really like certified, written copies of claims, pledges, statements, policies, etc and not "reality" tv, make-up, biased moderators, select sound-bites, "gotcha", etc. Give me documented and attested written statements.

Trump complains a lot about being unfairly cut off, etc. It's just interesting for the non verbal dynamics. There was a time i... wouldn't say I'd have voted for him, but I was listening to all. He's just crossed too many lines now. He seems aggressive and not entirely in control of his behavior.

Again, plus side is... the president doesn't do the job alone. He might have some heavy power, but I hope Trump would listen to his advisors. The scandals would be numerous.

I don't know why anyone would fight so hard for this job anyway. It's difficult and dangerous and it ages them all terribly. If Trump gets it, I guess I wish him and all of us the best. The world feels tense right now. Diplomacy before violence, always. I'd hope he's capable of it.

I don't think anything Trump said even comes close to what Bill DID.

No, they're all trouble. I just hope things stay peaceful. To much trouble and danger in the world already. Trump or Clinton, we need peace.

All this concern with the polls seems like a waste of time.  We'll see in November--you can speculate all you want, but we'll see where it comes down on election day.

I didn't watch, tend to like to listen. But still haven't. (Was important ball game on at the same time.) But I downloaded it. You think I should watch then? Or, as I planned, listen? Sometimes, to me, I think listening gives me better focus and "tells" when people lie but, then again, it could be argue that facial cues etc?

Definitely watch.  Half of it is body language, etc.  It's fascinating in a grotesque way.

This whole thing just makes me feel beaten up.  Those are some cringey debates.  Trump is going to go the way of Sarah Palin, when this is over--he's made himself into a punchline and undercut his accomplishments.  I feel sorry for his kids.  The guy just concerns me... but the whole thing seems lose/lose.

In the end, all the right-wingers were afraid of Obama being some kind of fascist.  Not even close--never is.  That's all I can hope for Trump.  If he wins--big if, at this point--I deeply hope he's kept in check and keeps this country out of the kind of danger a lot of people are concerned about.  I HAVE to believe that, in the Oval Office, he would be different than he is on the campaign trail.  I hope he's up to it.  Hope she is, too, I guess.

There's a lot of big rhetoric about a "Hitler" or whatever.  I don't, in my heart, believe either one of them is nearly so bad.  Trump's out of his depth, Hillary's a career politician.  Good reason to be concerned about both, but in the end, nobody's ever proven to be as dangerous as their opponents' supporters would want you to believe while they're running for office.

I'M quite shocked that even Trump did very well in the last debate his party is against him.
In my opinion something else is 'cooking'...

To me, he seemed aggressive and obnoxious--and I'm no fan of hers.

Only reason I like him still in is because he, or his surrogates on the internet, bring up more stuff about Billary's corruption etc. Ideally both should drop out, be indicted, or whatever. But in this crazy system and "reality" based politics it just keeps chugging on. I love "democracy."  :( I would love to see Electors pick someone else, regardless who wins the popular election. The system is there to do so, but it would be a really interesting thing if they did. Not sure who but would be epic.

That party is FRACTURING under him.  And it was not in good shape to begin with.  They're probably out of time to oust him and still have a remote shot at winning... and their chances are remote as it is.

That said, last night's debate was the most spirited one I've ever seen.  This game has changed, since as recently as four years ago.

The "locker room" talk Trump describes is of the kind said by boys in high school locker rooms.

Yeah--well, this is just the beginning.  The guy is dangerous.  He suggested harming Clinton just a few months ago... I mean, that's INSANE.  We are a country of peaceful transitions of power.  That SCARES me.  Force, violence, aggression... we do NOT need more of that in the world.  We can SPEAK UP.  We can debate.  We can argue.  We can fight about our ideas.  But this guy actually frightens me.  And granted, I'm a bit of a peacenik, when it comes to this kind of thing--but my god.  He's crossed SO many lines.  What I wish/hope is that he has the grace to do what's best for everyone, and exit.

That is my only concern regarding the comment. Not that it was said or might be common at some points in life but he clearly at that point was no longer some jock or frat guy or whatever posturing or bragging etc (not saying this is, good but times in life or whatever) but as an adult, successful businessman, with a family, wife, and daughters and then on film? Though it would appear that the worst of this attitude carries on in some circles like the Clintons etc also. But anybody but Hillary so I got to still go with Trump.  :o

This is really rough one.  Everyone's argument is "she's terrible, he's worse," or vice versa.  He really should drop out.  It'd be best for everyone at this point.

No, it was Everclear (or better, yet, "we need the dues," and save money  if found a generic version of pure grain alcohol,) water, sometimes some Sprite/7-Up type beverage, and Hawaiian Punch mix. But, lest you fear, trash can was lined with a fresh trashbag, before mixing the concoction. ;)

The nastiest drunk sick I ever got was on a huge bottle of cheap red wine.  Drank the goddam thing in less than an hour.  Then felt queasy.  God, after I'd thrown up, that toilet bowl looked like the scene of a crime.  Painted that thing RED--it was horrifying.  It was two years before I could touch wine again.  Have drunk waaay too much, at times, but... that was the most unpleasant.

Yeah, yeah, pretty thin.

Honestly though, I do think men need to seriously speak up about this kind of shit.  Even if it's really unpleasant.  That kegger shit... this "locker room" talk... grow the fuck up.  You wouldn't yell yourself hoarse if you heard someone say something vile about your partner?

Bet you were quite the barrel of fun at keg parties.

Drunk me and a bunch of frat trash is a bad combination.  Beer sucks anyway.  Vodka chased with Coke does a better job and you don't have to taste it.

I don't believe you.

Neither would Heather Wade.  Cause obviously, that's just how all men talk.

Poor little beast.  Her whole life is one endless Heather Wade show.

No, there's no children listening to the show. It's a school night.

On Friday nights, though, this is where ALL the kids are.

Heather's cat is a Clinton supporter.  It's been tense around her apartment these last few months.

Waiting for Ken Bone to call in.

It'd be her biggest "get" since John Titor.

What ROCK have you been living under for the past six months to not know which of these two morons you prefer?  Anyone stupid enough to be "undecided" at this point doesn't have an opinion worth hearing.

Heather wants to know our opinions?

I'd love to give her mine, but I swear as a reflex, and I couldn't even quote her candidate without getting the hammer dropped.  I'd just like to quote the fucker.  Just quote him.  If I can't say "grab them by the pussy" without getting censored on your show, Heather, then MAYBE, just MAYBE this fucking lunatic isn't somebody you ought to be supporting.
#21
"Has any third party candidate ever made it this far?"  Yeah--Ross fucking Perot, not thirty years ago.  He was in the debates.  So......
#22
I have never, ever been in a situation where saying "I'd grab her by the pussy even though she's married" is remotely acceptable.  That's horrific on every level, and completely beneath any respectful, psychologically sound person.  Demeaning and dehumanizing.  And if Heather Wade thinks this is "normal guy talk," who the fuck is she hanging out with?  It makes me ill to know that boys and girls are hearing ANY of these rationalizations, and internalizing them for when they grow up.  Sick sick sick.  This what you'd tell your own daughter, Heather Wade?  That if you hear two men talking to or about her that way, "It's just the way guys talk."  Like it's acceptable, somehow?  FUCK. THAT.
#23
This is so fucking disgusting. You have to be rapey to be a real person? A "real guy?" This makes me nauseous. What is psychologically wrong with someone who condones or excuses it, man or woman? Hope you can stand by this, Heather Wade. It's out there forever now. Thank god this complete trash is only heard by about fifty people these days. Can't wait till this shit is off the air. What the FUCK happened to this show, where Art Bell once talked to Neil DeGrasse Tyson?

jesus this is brutal.

As that old guy rambled on and on, I thought, "Dude, what am I DOING?"  I think I'm going to watch Netflix as I wait to get tired.  This is really, really rough.

She totally just heard "randy ducks" clearly for the first time, and dropped him.
#28
I want to call in and ask, "So when is Art coming back for good?  Cause you're just filling in, right?"  I don't think I've ever heard her address it head-on.
#29
Turns out this van is just Art messing with her.

JC already called her once.  What more does she want?
