I just watched a video of You Know My Name and saw some amazing old footage if the boys.  Wiki says its one of the last things John and Paul worked together on.  Totally fun piece that took years to compile.  I knew it was special.

I think Tomorrow Never Knows is my favorite song of theirs. I loved that they ended a season (couple of seasons ago maybe?) of Mad Men with it. Very effective to show that Don Draper had just been eclipsed culturally by the next generation and made irrelevant.

Good one!  Just saw a big cirque show built on their music while in Vegas.  They used lots of the more obscure songs so wasn't tired or predictable.  They didn't use my favorite B side, You Know My Name (Look Up My Number).  I'm not that old (older than many of you folk) but had a sister 7 years older and grew up just outside Berkeley CA so the flower child thing was very influential.

I saw the Beatles Love show when it first opened. I lived in Vegas then and got to see the 'friends and family' trial run a couple of nights before it opened for free. One of the best things I've ever seen.

So Wells and this caller think it's great that women are finally waking up to what's going on? Did they say that?

Does he keep calling the country of Mexico, New Mexico? He just said he didn't think they'd shut the grid down in Canada, US and New Mexico.

My dad said the Beatles were a passing thing.  Hahaha

Your dad was right, they haven't put an album out in decades!

I might be wrong but there was a 2-3 minute single that got some air play.  Light my Fire by the Doors was like that too.

Wikipedia says there was a 45 released of it. Doesn't say what the B side is thought.

"In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" was released as a 45 in the US and other territories. The 17 minute original version was edited down to 2:53 minutes. This version contains the intro, two complete verses, the repeat of the main theme very near the end, a short break and the closing segment. There is nothing at all left of any of the solos.

I'd like Wells if he wasn't about fear. That drives me crazy.

Dang, missed the end of the interview! I bet she got all smart and stuff at the end, didn't she?

Thanks for the Amazon link to her body of work. It's got a Look Inside link so you can actually read parts of it... I don't recommend it.

This is bad. Tempted to call in. She's seriously a wreck.

That's like calling the Titanic a wreck. hahaha

And this caller is awesome because he's in the same situation!  Just so you Bellgabbers all know, I invented good beer, good running shoes, pizza, and bicycles. I've never received a penny for any of it, but I give them all to you freely.

Now she's trying to say she created a Matrix game that you can play online and become Neo? That's so 1998. WTF?

What's she talking about? And they're going to calls in like 30 minutes of interview? hahaha I think tonight's a big open line night. hahaha

Someone needs to call in and tell her The Matrix sucks.

Could you imagine if Dave was doing the interview? They'd just be saying random shit back and forth for hours. hahaha

I'm wondering how long this interview's going to go

Quote from: NoMoreNoory on September 14, 2013, 09:00:46 PM(it has to be another slap in the face that C2C's 'Science Advisor' is joining Art in his first week)

I'm looking forward to the night when Hoagland (or any other regular) is doing their schtick on C2C, and either mentions Art's show, or something that they'd talked about on Art's show. You know it's going to happen and you know Dave's going to make a lame joke to cover it up, while silently having a meltdown.

Honestly, when I saw this was the topic, I knew C2C had finally shit itself.

All of this is so ridiculous. Nobody would even know who she was if it wasn't for a community college newspaper and a journalism student who doesn't know how to fact check. There's no point to having her as a guest.

Don't know if anyone else heard this... I've only reviewed the last two pages of this thread and may have missed it...  I heard Snoory discussing "Mall Ware" (malware).  I've mispronounced enough words in my life, but I'm not being paid big bucks to be on the radio.  Can't someone review those really long, multisyllabic words with Simple George so that he doesn't sound like an uninformed boob every damn night?

Yeah, I don't think I said anything last night when we were listening, but I wondered how much of the opening tech news he actually understood. He really just sounded like someone reading an article.

Knapp is great! I think the poster meant leave to host weekend duties for Arts show. I doubt it will happen but who knows.
I think Knapp doesn't have much time to do the show which is why he only does it twice a month

Yeah, Knapp is the only one who doesn't phone it in now that Ian's gone. I would bet that he's not on more because he'd make Dave look bad. I don't think he'd do it, but I'd love to have him as a host 3-4 nights a week. Since he actually reads and researches, he probably wouldn't be able to do that and keep his (at least) two other jobs. So, I just appreciate him when he's on.

Will any one be listening to george after art does his live show on the 16th of sept or just go cold turkey and say fuck george and coast to coast am?

If I've already heard that day's Dark Matter, then I probably will fall asleep to C2C as I do now. If I haven't, then I will probably be listening to DM.

Would you feel guilty if there was suddenly news that George committed suicide and blamed this forum?

No. I would feel sad that his undiagnosed and untreated mental issues finally got the better of him, and that his final act was to just further magnify the mental issues that had been plaguing him all of these years.

I'd just sent a friend a copy of the Time article, re-read parts of it while doing so. I missed it the first time around. It makes me wonder of the writer is also in the Noory Sucks camp.

For Bell fans, the timing wasn't a coincidence.

But, but... there are no coinshidencheses, sho whatsh it mean?!!?

I probably would too.  He probably needs a prosthetic forehead - or a turkey sandwich - or some pizza rolls.  Hey, at the last minute he muttered good wishes to Art on his debut. Ever gracious.

Yeah, Dave's an okay guy now that he wished Art well. That makes up for 10 years of ineptitude.

Just kidding. Dave sucks!

End of the night and he just lets callers ramble about anything.  Oh, and the new studio's in Kona!

I might like that song. I might look it up tomorrow. This show has destroyed any will to live that I have.

Everyone of these callers sounds like they are going to turn into Bateman.

Yeah, they do. They're all ridiculous and slightly drunk/spacey sounding.

I've also got a table that gives off vibrations that keep me from being afraid. I asked them for that specifically for that when I was at Ikea.

Evidently, You Tube clips are TV shows now.

Listening to Dave is like being 16 and trying to have a conversation with your grandparents.

Hmm... this lady could be right. If I remember correctly, Buckaroo Banzai also went through rock to get to another dimension.
