I actually have a Tuesday night free, so I'll have to listen. Hopefully you all can sum up what's going on with all this Art Bell stuff because that side of the forum makes about as much as sense as Noory becoming a broadcaster.

I don't think rabid chipmunks have much against Dave but rabid hamsters I can understand.

Well that's true, too.

Isn't it a bit shameful to publicly bully George Noory so much?
After all, he isn't the one who quit his job a dozen times, right?
That was Art himself.
This obsession with bashing the guy forever is similar to some bullies on a schoolyard who hit on one kid, and everybody joins in because it's so funny, because you're not the target.

I don't particularly care for George, but that doesn't mean I want rabid chipmunks to nibble on his fleshy bits.
I don't think there's much need for the sexual/personal life stuff when the man provides so much ammunition with the idiotic things he says.
But it's the internet, and it's easy to be exceedingly cruel when you don't have to look at the faces of the people you're making fun of.

In the first half, author and teacher Allan Lokos joins George Noory to discuss the devastating accident that put him on the path of helping others come to grips with tragedy and realize that they can indeed move on to find the peace and freedom that will make their lives strong again

Jorch:  "About your devastating accident, did you also encounter devastating pain that you would like to tell me about because I think that would be amazing.  As well."

As with every other episode hosted by Noory:

Beyond Coast, God, that is sooo tempting but I won't do it. Midnight in the Desert is most likely the winner. As for Crystal Gayle's song I will use it as a close forever but for a open I need energy and See Saw really does it for me. If I am not going to use the chase then I sure don't want to just use something that sounds like it. I don't copy.

Art

I think the beginning of the Door's L.A. Woman would be the perfect opening for the new show.

I don't like it!  I actually am trying to figure out who the hell designed the new logo, it's bad!  What was wrong with old one?  REMINDS PEOPLE OF ART BELL????

The last C2C production meeting:

PremRat Bigwig: "We need to change some things around here, so we don't look like we're living in Art's shadow anymore. Ideas?"

Dave Noorie : "The name of the program, to show that we've really changed the format. Maybe name the show after me?"

PG: "No, we can't do that. Coast to Coast has name recognition, no one really knows who the hell you are."

DN: "Oh, we can change the bumper music. Get rid of all that stuff Art used to play, and go exclusively with folks like Pat Boone, Paul Anka, and ZZ Top. Did you know that Billy Gibbons is a close personal friend?"

PG: "Can't do that either. People really identify with that music. Makes them want to keep tuning in. And you know we can't play ZZ Top, it offends some people's sensibilities."

DN: "Well darn, I guess we could do more infomercial stuff. Maybe bring the show down to a first grade level from the second grade level we already do it at."

PG: "Great ideas, Dave. Get on that. And have someone change the look of the website. That will prove we've moved into the 21st century and beyond that old Art Bell stuff."

Oh, I see.  All of jcoscarmorgus' JC spam and posts have been eliminated for some reason.  Must be the GNS2K meltdown we were prepping for.

I thought the Davebots had hacked into the system and made it so it'll be 1999 forever.

I'm gonna party like it's 1999...

/But srsly. It would be great if someone got through to C2C tonight and told the world about his 2000 pages of suck.

Caught the first part of the show last night. It was like listening to a couple of dudebros shotgunning Natty Ice, swapping stories about all the ghosts they've fucked and yelling "Do you even ghost, bro?" at people. Then, between Jagerbombs they summoned the spirit of Evelyn Paglini, who became a drunk gypsy in the afterlife. Dudebro ghost hunters are intense.

Yes, thank you! You're opinion has been noted. Repeatedly. But telling us will not make it happen. Go incessantly tell Noory, Tommy, or Lisa because we have absolutely no fucking control over the program whatsoever.

Guest: I don't forsee an attack on American soil by ISIS.
GN: Well, I hope you're wrong.

It's the inattentive moments like these that give me hope that one day George will really screw up. A hypothetical example:

Guest: makes comment that all [insert race/religion/sexual orientation] should be systematically slaughtered in a gruesome manner

GN: I think so too, as well.

At that point, George would have to apologize and admit that he just does not pay attention, or Premiere would be forced to release him from that 'iron-clad contract'.

None of these lowlifes could cope so they decided people needed to die. They didn't want to work for the solutions to their problems.

Sure is sad that they can't be all be well-adjusted and productive members of society such as yourself. Oh well, let's get those missiles ready to deal with the problem.

Yep because Saddam had no track record of killing 100's of thousands of his own people. And oppressing women. And invading Kuwait and killing thousands. And being an Islamic extremist. And using WMD's on the Kurds. And having billions of dollars to give away to Islamic terrorist groups. And being an unelected dictator. And ignoring 20 UN resolutions to let inspectors in. Resolutions he agreed to. The idea he would use his billions to try to attain a nuke is so far fetched  ::)

It's a shame Stewart wont be around to further perpetuate the "Bush lied people died" lie. Liberals on the left can continue to repeat their ignorance, and their hero Bill Clintons words will continue to show them for the ignorant liars that they are. Clinton is the gift that keeps on giving.

While I don't care to argue about everything else in your post, I gotta interject on your assertion that Saddam Hussein was an Islamic extremist. He was a Ba'athist, and opposed to the institutionalization of religion (Islam or otherwise) in government and society. In fact, he gave millions of dollars in donations to various Christian organizations and many of his top level governmental advisers were Christian. It wasn't until after the Gulf War that he began to act "more Islamic", and that was really just a desperate ploy to gain power and influence in the region, and to assuage Muslim fundamentalists that were working towards overthrowing him. During his time in power he never targeted Christians in Iraq, but went after Shi'ites with a vengeance. He may very well have funneled money to various terror organizations, but it was more likely because they were working against the United States, not because of some shared religious philosophy. While some of these actions may scream "evil bastard", none of them scream "Islamic extremist".

In a world of social media, shouldn't it be possible for third party candidates and independents to compete without huge advertising budgets and multi-million dollar bribes from future lobbyists?

Maybe they should do a Kickstarter or Patreon account?

Look a new book by George and Richard Belzer about Malaysian airlines. It's called "Someone's Hiding Something". Or would that be sumones hidin sumthin.  Just saw this on the website.  I'm sure it's filled with a plethora of facts

This confuses me. Richard Belzer seems like an intelligent human being, so why would he deign to co-author a book with a man who has little to no understanding of the concept of syntax. Because if the book had just been written by Richard Belzer, I might have been slightly more interested in reading it (inasmuch as I care about the subject, and have never read any of Belzer's other books). But Noorifying it has removed any and all desire I had to pick it up.  Did his publisher say "Richard, you need to work with this Dave Norrie that hosts the late night radio show that hawks Bigfoot dung miracle cures. He knows a whole lot about this subject!"

Norrey had a speech impediment when he was younger so I will cut him slack on mispronouncing words.

I won't. He went into a profession where the most important skill is the ability to competently communicate in a clear manner. If he was running a podcast out of his basement, and not a nationally syndicated radio program, I could be a lot more forgiving.

Yust an scincere thanx to you for the 'stupidon'(c)bombardment and dismissal of:"Whatever,Dude".
1)I'm Beelzebubbelah",not"Dude",an dismissive word used excluseiveley by"Label_Queens"(C).
2)Qvacks are less likeley to cut out organs like appendices and tonsils, then wait for illnesses to cripple you enough for an wallettectomy(c).
3)Qvacks don't form an mafia that covers for each other by purjury en masse in court.
4)Qvacks is another term exclusive to label_queens(c).
5)Zion_Nazi/"Zionists"are not "joos".
Most are Protestant-Xtian 'Dominionist'-fascisti's.
Real joos are Sephardic Xtians, mostly Katholic, that were forcibly converted when the city of Salamanca in Spain was over-run,and 'King Alphonse X' was deposed by King Ferdinand & Qveen Isabella.
They spoke "Ladino",not Yiddish or Hebrew.
Zionism has absoluteley no relationship with the healing professions in any sense, seing that it's more like the Katholic church's crusades than the 'joo'-ish occupation of palestine.
Once you decided to dismiss the statement i made with the contempt 'parrot-mantra' from the east-coast yuppie-wanna-bes':"What-Ever",you eliminated your position of open dialogue in this thread,in my opinion.

I find the poll at the end amusing. Out of the 1,600 some odd votes cast (as of this writing), George Noory narrowly edges out Rusty Humphries on 'who has the best perspective on the issues' with a whooping 6 votes.

I hadn't listened to any hosts besides Knapp for a while. When did they start making them push George's 'television' show? Seemed like Dave was reminding us that it was free for thirty days every time he came back from break. It really does smack of desperation.

It was bad enough they had Lionel Fanthorpe's slow cousin on during the second half.
