What you ran across was a neighborhood library. People have been putting them up as a way to share books.

If you see a book there that interests you then take it, read it and pass it on.
If you have a book you think people might like but you no longer need then put it in there.

It is a nice sharing concept and I like them.

But you are not supposed to empty them because it is "free". Your selfishness of taking the young reader books just robs a future reader of discovering something they might like. It was just another asshole move.

I noticed that there was some distortion on a few of the microphones, so they will need to be replaced. And I think the whole bathroom set-up needs attention too, Senda's farts in there are so earth-shaking (particularly on Taco Tuesdays) that I think we'll have to pull out the drywall and re-do the whole thing.
