It would be less disturbing to the sophisticated listener.
After six or eight years of Boory, I doubt there is a sophisticated listener left.

I think paranoia is an act with Alex Jones, but Noory's entire life is truly fear based: clowns, poison in food, fluoride in water, vaccines, the Illuminati, callers who don't agree with him, traditional medicine and doctors, etc. The guy is truly spineless and scared of his own shadow. Maybe his shadow was the shadow rat he once saw.

George tried to sound like Mr. Morality last night. When they first brought on Jack Canfield, Jack mentioned how his wife works with prisoners. George, in his typical, "we have sooooo many listeners/your website is down right now cuz we mentioned it!" way, said 'You know we are the most listened to show in prisons!' or something to that effect, to which Jack replied "...cool " Then George said something about how he responds to emails from prisoners, except if they're pedophiles. He made that point very clear. No pedophiles, nuh uh. Just something you have to hear to really get how holier-than-thou George tried to sound...its was a really uncomfortable moment!

that just shows that nimwit Noory doesn't even know what unscreened calls means.
screening calls filters out some callers before they get on the air, possibly losing the most interesting ones before the host gets them.
its not about what the host knows or doesn't know, its the filtering process thats the issue.
unscreened means no call screener - the call must go direct to the host with nobody in between.
Noory never would have the courage to do that, he might get flooded with calls from his so-called 'haters' otherwise...

Major Ed Dames used his callin to promote his upcoming remote viewing conferences too.
After Andrew revealed he would be running for President as a democrat in 2016 or 2020, Noory asked him if he would consider as President making Richard Hoagland the head of NASA.

I just checked the 'chat' that Noory had this past week.. I was gone from this message board for a bit, but were they any comments on Noory praising Art Bell?? Almost a last ditched effort to suck up enough for him to come back?

I've noticed something perplexing. When the Snoormeister is being interviewed by another talk show host he is suddenly much more articulate and sharp. Get him behind his own mic and it is buffoonsville.

Shameless ass-kissing. Unfuckingbelievable.
Alex Jones: Well, George, that... in fact... that was my next question for you. You see the awakening, you are a world-renowned analyst, media personality, researcher, probably one the best interviewers out there bar none, probably even better than Larry King in his heyday. You have your finger on the pulse, so I know you're picking up what I'm picking up. Uh, I am a person who is well-known, especially because of the internet and so anywhere I go, people stop me, and it's not every 10 or 15 people now, it's every 3 or 4 or 5, no matter where I go. Blah, blah, blah.
Can anyone point to different reasons why this might be happening? Is there any chance in hell that people like Jones really believe this absurdity? Or are there other possible explanations?

A wasted interview with Evelyn Paglini.

Have you ever explained a complex thought to someone that has no clue about what you are talking about, and they don't really care? Their eyes glaze over. Well ears can glaze over, too. If their ears glaze over they will not tune in again. Those ears cannot be offended, and they are not. They are fed the watered down questions and explanation of subjects. You may have a PhD explaining cosmology and equations, and your average overnite worker cannot decipher that. Now, if you break that down into "Will that astroid hit the moon and cause it to bump up against the earth?" is more brain friendly in the middle of the night. George reins in complex thought and makes it easy on the mind.

thats old outdated info unfortunately.
noory originally planned to retire in Dec 2012 when he took over 8 years ago, but after a few years he decided to extend that and now has no planned retirement date.
he has reported multiple contract extensions to 2016 and beyond in the past couple years...

I'll give you an example as to why I agree with you. Tonight during his usual spin on the news to match his uncritical 'thinking' (a long stretch to say he thinks) opinions he mentioned there were 20 deaths due to the HPV vaccine. It's obvious Noory is a proud card carrying member of the anti-vax community with all of their paranoid delusions and anti-science 'correlation proves causation' belief dealing with not only HPV but with autism and everything else that ails us. I give you the nutcase Horowitz who Georgie was fear porning with a few nights ago. If he and Horowitz had half a functioning brain, they'd know not to make such a statement to an acquaintance, and above all not to his radio audience where people will be led to believe that Noory knows what he speaks of, which is absolute BS. But Noory doesn't have a conscience and has no integrity, so it doesn't bother him in the least to spout such unproven and nonsensical crap about his fear of vaccines as facts. It seems to me that Georgie would rather see people get cancer and be a death's door rather than have a simple and harmless shot that could prevent it. Noory is a genuine classless douche bag and as much a "science lover" as Hoaxland is a qualified science advisor.

I am a newbie .....
I have gotten to the point that he just amazes me with simplistic questions. And the the lack of pre-production meetings and getting questions together BEFORE the show stalls my car. Why would there be a studio on ....."THE BIG ISLAND"...
So many missed opportunity's for great follow up questions stuns me.
Narcissism.......where YOU are never surprised at YOU.

Great point. I'll add that it seems like most of the science we hear on C2C about is 'quantum consciousness', or quantum this, or quantum that. Pretty fringe stuff most of the time that doesn't seem to have a whole lot of substance, or at least doesn't get explained in depth and usually gets tied into talking about God. Moreover, most of the time it seems like the guests who throw out those phrases aren't even scientists themselves, and they just tag 'quantum' on to make their views sound legitimate. And then of course Noory has to pose his favorite questions, like 'do you think we can travel through time?' and 'what about the God particle?' No wonder people in general have such strange opinions about physics...of course the history channel and discovery channel documentaries don't help much either, they are pretty sensationalist themselves.

Hi all, I'm new to the site, been listening to C2C for a few years. I didn't think there were many people who felt the same way I do about Noory, so this is a pleasant surprise. From the way he talks about himself on the show, you'd think that he's everyone's best friend...
Anyhow, I wanted to share something George said that really bothered me. During his recent interview with the physicist Dr. Leonard Mlodinow, just before they brought on Deepak Chopra, they were talking about physics, or science in general or something at the time, it was about a week ago and I listen to C2C as I'm going to sleep so I don't remember exactly. I think George said something to the effect of how interesting and beautiful nature is, and how he and other people appreciate it, and how EVEN A SCIENTIST could appreciate it, HA HA! (in his awful and smug way of laughing)
He made it sound like scientists aren't people who are motivated by the awe and wonder of the universe, like they would be the LAST people to appreciate it, and that it would be really funny if they actually did. Which obviously is completely backwards and ridiculous, and Dr. Mlodinow quickly corrected him, thankfully. The number one motivation of the scientist is to explore nature and get to know it better...I mean does George have physicists confused with accountants, or something? Does he think scientists are people who grudgingly sit around and just memorize facts and figures, because someone or something has to keep track of it all, those dull nerds?
He is so unqualified to moderate a discussion like that...It was bizarre and uncomfortable, I had to turn it off pretty quickly. If anyone has the text of the part of the interview I'm talking about, I'd appreciate if you could post it.

I began listening to Art Bell during the Hale-Bopp business and remember a woman calling in one night reporting that she and her husband had sold their house and possessions because of the warnings from Bell's guests, and were frantic to find a safe haven from the coming Apocalypse. I remember being angry that Bell allowed it to go so far. Was Hale-Bopp also Hoagland's intro to the show?

Here's a new gem. 2011-09-01, Hour 3, 6 minutes 12 seconds, in a discussion with physicist John Brandenburg about his book, Beyond Einstein's Unified Field.
George: Is gravity in the universe, John, is it... is it uh good thing or uh bad thing? You know in some cases...
John: Oh, it's a very good... it's, George believe me, gravity is a good thing.
Thank God that Brandenburg interrupted his silly ass. But I have to wonder, when he said, "You know in some cases..." I gotta wonder what the hell he was about to say.
Quote from: stevesh on October 19, 2011, 11:18:29 AM
Absolutely. It's bad and getting worse. It has to be something that Noory is doing intentionally, or he's so concerned about being seen as a 'nice guy' he doesn't have the 'nads to interrupt the lame callers. We need more guests who will take control of the show when necessary.
You know, it's not impossible that Noory does lurk here at coastgab and does this stuff just to piss us off.
Quote from: rangers1919 on October 18, 2011, 02:44:45 AM
When Noory has on people telling everybody how the world is ending because it is written in scripture why don't they ever ask the person about the part where Jesus said the Antichrist, and all the other stuff would happen within the lives of the people he was telling? It seems like a pretty important detail, and might be worth asking even once.
