It would be less disturbing to the sophisticated listener.

After six or eight years of Boory, I doubt there is a sophisticated listener left.

I think paranoia is an act with Alex Jones, but Noory's entire life is truly fear based:  clowns, poison in food, fluoride in water, vaccines, the Illuminati, callers who don't agree with him, traditional medicine and doctors, etc.  The guy is truly spineless and scared of his own shadow.  Maybe his shadow was the shadow rat he once saw.

I'd be pretty worried, too, if I was as big of an idiot as Noory.

How many times is Jorch going to trot out Bill Mumy to go over that same old same old?  Jesus, it's a nice story and all but it's BEEN DONE.

George tried to sound like Mr. Morality last night. When they first brought on Jack Canfield, Jack mentioned how his wife works with prisoners. George, in his typical, "we have sooooo many listeners/your website is down right now cuz we mentioned it!" way, said 'You know we are the most listened to show in prisons!' or something to that effect, to which Jack replied "...cool  ???" Then George said something about how he responds to emails from prisoners, except if they're pedophiles. He made that point very clear. No pedophiles, nuh uh. Just something you have to hear to really get how holier-than-thou George tried to sound...its was a really uncomfortable moment!

From what I understand, not having any first-hand knowledge, C2C with GN is the number one show among pedophiles.

I concur.  That mofo sucks big fat hairy ass.

The already mentioned MU is pretty entertaining.  The Paracast, Binnall of America, Dark Matters Radio, Radio Misterioso.  There is a backlog of Paracast shows going back to 2006.  You could stay pretty entertained for a long while just listening to those.

that just shows that nimwit Noory doesn't even know what unscreened calls means.
screening calls filters out some callers before they get on the air, possibly losing the most interesting ones before the host gets them.
its not about what the host knows or doesn't know, its the filtering process thats the issue.
unscreened means no call screener - the call must go direct to the host with nobody in between.
Noory never would have the courage to do that, he might get flooded with calls from his so-called 'haters' otherwise...  :o

you could tell from the way he said it and the cheesy look on his face that even he didn't believe it.  But it was vaguely interesting for a couple minutes to watch these two clowns and really see what a couple of bunglers they are.  George with his jet black hair, eyebrows, and mustache.  Tommy looking about 80 lbs overweight and slicked back hair covering his bald spot.  A couple of smooth operators if ever there was.

Major Ed Dames used his callin to promote his upcoming remote viewing conferences too.   :P

After Andrew revealed he would be running for President as a democrat in 2016 or 2020, Noory asked him if he would consider as President making Richard Hoagland the head of NASA.  ;D

Whoa... can you imagine a world where Andrew Gasbagiago is president and RCH heads up NASA??  What next, Linda Moulton Howe as Sec. of State??  Gerald Celente to head up the Fed??  Maybe he would tap George to head up Intelligence.  Life would be so entertaining under such a scenario.  I wish it could happen for maybe just a few days or a week, just to see what happens.

I just checked the 'chat' that Noory had this past week.. I was gone from this message board for a bit, but were they any comments on Noory praising Art Bell?? Almost a last ditched effort to suck up enough for him to come back?

I watched some of the chat, first time ever.  Geo and Tommy, what a couple of dopey looking mofos.  Then towards the end, Geo and Tommy start emphasizing how the calls are unscreened for Geo because he doesn't know who Tommy is screening out and Tommy doesn't tell him what the caller's topic is.  So even though Tommy screens the calls, they are unscreened as far as Geo is concerned.  Uh.... OK.... if you say so.

^^ I maintain that when Snoory is talking about himself, his opinions, his beliefs, his ideas, and he is being stroked about wonderful he is, then he is just fine.  But ask him to focus on something or somebody else, which he inherently has no interest in, he can't stay focused.

I've noticed something perplexing.  When the Snoormeister is being interviewed by another talk show host he is suddenly much more articulate and sharp.  Get him behind his own mic and it is buffoonsville.

Yes, when the focus is on himself, and he is being stroked by some other hack like AJ, then it all makes sense to him, it all comes together.

Truth is, just sucking would be a step up for Noory.

Shameless ass-kissing. Unfuckingbelievable.

Alex Jones: Well, George, that... in fact... that was my next question for you. You see the awakening, you are a world-renowned analyst, media personality, researcher, probably one the best interviewers out there bar none, probably even better than Larry King in his heyday. You have your finger on the pulse, so I know you're picking up what I'm picking up. Uh, I am a person who is well-known, especially because of the internet and so anywhere I go, people stop me, and it's not every 10 or 15 people now, it's every 3 or 4 or 5, no matter where I go. Blah, blah, blah.

Can anyone point to different reasons why this might be happening? Is there any chance in hell that people like Jones really believe this absurdity? Or are there other possible explanations?

First off, it's clear to me that Alex Jones will say anything on the air, I don't think belief has anything to do with it.  That's his gig, crazy unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.  Same goes for George Noory, except with him it's more about ignorance of and indifference to the truth then intentional BS, but the goal is the same.  I heard this or another recent AJ show with Noory as guest and clearly they are just jacking each other off to enhance the ratings of each other's shtick.

yeah I tried it, too.  I wanted to listen to a sunday show with knapp a couple months ago.  It's a total POS.  The reviews in the App store pretty much reflect that fact.  If you really want to listen via iPhone, I think you can probably get the archived shows via the iHeartRadio app.

A wasted interview with Evelyn Paglini.

Is that Evan or Evelyn?  I couldn't tell if it was a woman who has been smoking three packs of Pall Malls a day for the last 40 years or a guy with a bigger pair than Noory.

Have you ever explained a complex thought to someone that has no clue about what you are talking about, and they don't really care?  Their eyes glaze over.  Well ears can glaze over, too.  If their ears glaze over they will not tune in again.  Those ears cannot be offended, and they are not.  They are fed the watered down questions and explanation of subjects.  You may have a PhD explaining cosmology and equations, and your average overnite worker cannot decipher that.  Now, if you break that down into "Will that astroid hit the moon and cause it to bump up against the earth?" is more brain friendly in the middle of the night.  George reins in complex thought and makes it easy on the mind.

Yes, and on top of all that, he can continue his chronic masturbatory tendencies without missing a beat, so to speak, while doing the show.

thats old outdated info unfortunately.
noory originally planned to retire in Dec 2012 when he took over 8 years ago, but after a few years he decided to extend that and now has no planned retirement date.
he has reported multiple contract extensions to 2016 and beyond in the past couple years...

Yeah, it's a grim prospect, for sure.  On the other hand, he'd be a fool if he didn't ride that old nag into the sunset.  He sure as hell won't ever get another opportunity like this, at least not in a universe with even one shred of decency.

I'll give you an example as to why I agree with you.  Tonight during his usual spin on the news to match his uncritical 'thinking' (a long stretch to say he thinks) opinions he mentioned there were 20 deaths due to the HPV vaccine.  It's obvious Noory is a proud card carrying member of the anti-vax community with all of their paranoid delusions and anti-science 'correlation proves causation' belief dealing with not only HPV but with autism and everything else that ails us.  I give you the nutcase Horowitz who Georgie was fear porning with a few nights ago.  If he and Horowitz had half a functioning brain, they'd know not to make such a statement to an acquaintance, and above all not to his radio audience where people will be led to believe that Noory knows what he speaks of, which is absolute BS.  But Noory doesn't have a conscience and has no integrity, so it doesn't bother him in the least to spout such unproven and nonsensical crap about his fear of vaccines as facts. It seems to me that Georgie would rather see people get cancer and be a death's door rather than have a simple and harmless shot that could prevent it. Noory is a genuine classless douche bag and as much a "science lover" as Hoaxland is a qualified science advisor.

But then, after ranting about big Pharma and vaccines, radiation and chemo, etc., etc,.... he then CYA's by saying, " ... but you make your own decision..."   It's an easy call for him because, other than the obvious intellectual deficiencies, he is apparently fairly healthy.  Well, there is the pallor of death that he tries to hide with make-up and hair die, and the droopy eye, and ...

I have gotten to the point that he just amazes me with simplistic questions. And the the lack of pre-production meetings and getting questions together BEFORE the show stalls my car. Why would there be a studio on ....."THE BIG ISLAND"...???

Great point. I'll add that it seems like most of the science we hear on C2C about is 'quantum consciousness', or quantum this, or quantum that. Pretty fringe stuff most of the time that doesn't seem to have a whole lot of substance, or at least doesn't get explained in depth and usually gets tied into talking about God. Moreover, most of the time it seems like the guests who throw out those phrases aren't even scientists themselves, and they just tag 'quantum' on to make their views sound legitimate. And then of course Noory has to pose his favorite questions, like 'do you think we can travel through time?' and 'what about the God particle?' No wonder people in general have such strange opinions about physics...of course the history channel and discovery channel documentaries don't help much either, they are pretty sensationalist themselves.

Thanks for responding, and thanks for being on the forum today.... How Are Youuuuuu???  Ya know, that's a great point....  Are ya ready??  Let's go to the forum....

Dark Matters radio with Don Ecker is generally pretty good.  Although at this point all that is available is the archives, no new shows.  But there are some real classics in there.  Also, the Paracast archives on iTunes, before they moved to GCN.  There are some great shows in there, also.  Binnall of America.

Hi all, I'm new to the site, been listening to C2C for a few years. I didn't think there were many people who felt the same way I do about Noory, so this is a pleasant surprise. From the way he talks about himself on the show, you'd think that he's everyone's best friend...

Anyhow, I wanted to share something George said that really bothered me. During his recent interview with the physicist Dr. Leonard Mlodinow, just before they brought on Deepak Chopra, they were talking about physics, or science in general or something at the time, it was about a week ago and I listen to C2C as I'm going to sleep so I don't remember exactly.  I think George said something to the effect of how interesting and beautiful nature is, and how he and other people appreciate it, and how EVEN A SCIENTIST could appreciate it, HA HA! (in his awful and smug way of laughing)

He made it sound like scientists aren't people who are motivated by the awe and wonder of the universe, like they would be the LAST people to appreciate it, and that it would be really funny if they actually did. Which obviously is completely backwards and ridiculous, and Dr. Mlodinow quickly corrected him, thankfully. The number one motivation of the scientist is to explore nature and get to know it better...I mean does George have physicists confused with accountants, or something? Does he think scientists are people who grudgingly sit around and just memorize facts and figures, because someone or something has to keep track of it all, those dull nerds?

He is so unqualified to moderate a discussion like that...It was bizarre and uncomfortable, I had to turn it off pretty quickly. If anyone has the text of the part of the interview I'm talking about, I'd appreciate if you could post it.

The problem is that Noory has no concept of what actual science is.  He thinks that wild speculation and unsubstantiated claims are the stuff of science.  Hence the C2C "science advisor", Richard Hoagland, who is 10 times more clever than Noory, but still a shameless self-promoter and charlatan.  I'm pretty sure that Noory's concept of a scientist is a guy who sits around looking at and writing indecipherable equations and staring at a computer all day.  I've said it on the forum before, and I'll say it again - Noory says he loves science, but he wouldn't know actual science if it booted him straight in his hairy ass and then did a dance in front of him.  So it's just more of the same with Noory, all fluff, no actual substance.  A show geared for uncritical thinkers and woo-woo new agers.

I began listening to Art Bell during the Hale-Bopp business and remember a woman calling in one night reporting that she and her husband had sold their house and possessions because of the warnings from Bell's guests, and were frantic to find a safe haven from the coming Apocalypse. I remember being angry that Bell allowed it to go so far.   Was Hale-Bopp also Hoagland's intro to the show?

No, Hoagland began telling his wildly speculative and unsubstantiated stories on the air earlier than that.  He goes back to the face on Mars, or maybe even earlier.

Retired Army Colonel John Alexander's recent book, "UFOs: Myths, Conspiracies, and Realities" is a great source of information as well as a good read.  However, be aware that he is mainly arguing that there is no big gov't conspiracy to hide a UFO / ET reality.  He recently debated essentially your same topic with Stanton Friedman on the Paracast (available on iTunes or website).  I suggest it as good source material.

Here's a new gem. 2011-09-01, Hour 3, 6 minutes 12 seconds, in a discussion with physicist John Brandenburg about his book, Beyond Einstein's Unified Field.

George: Is gravity in the universe, John, is it... is it uh good thing or uh bad thing? You know in some cases...

John: Oh, it's a very good... it's, George believe me, gravity is a good thing.

Thank God that Brandenburg interrupted his silly ass. But I have to wonder, when he said, "You know in some cases..." I gotta wonder what the hell he was about to say.

"... in some cases, John, ya' know, I trip, I fall down and a lot a people are doing this all over the world, John.  Somethins goin on John, where gravity is hurting innocent people..."

something along those lines.

Absolutely. It's bad and getting worse. It has to be something that Noory is doing intentionally, or he's so concerned about being seen as a 'nice guy' he doesn't have the 'nads to interrupt the lame callers. We need more guests who will take control of the show when necessary.

You know, it's not impossible that Noory does lurk here at coastgab and does this stuff just to piss us off.

I think it's equally likely that Geo uses the time for his masturbation break, which is written into his contract.

When Noory has on people telling everybody how the world is ending because it is written in scripture why don't they ever ask the person about the part where Jesus said the Antichrist, and all the other stuff would happen within the lives of the people he was telling? It seems like a pretty important detail, and might be worth asking even once.

The present C2C sponsors are end-of-days and Armageddon products, so that's what Noory pushes.  Doomsday products = doomsday topics.  I think it's that simple.
