And, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! ;D

serenity

And from way down de bayou a very happy Fathers Day to all.

Tomorrow is going to be a special day as well. All of my Welsh friends of the Wiccan persuasion have been planning for weeks lol.
at 6:34 p.m. EDT, 5:34 p.m. CDT, 4:34 p.m. MDT, and 3:34 p.m. PDT and for you White Crow and Mrs. Crow 00:34a.m ( Thats Tuesday for you WC ) the Earths geographical North Polar Axis will be tilted 23 degrees 26 minutes towards the Sun. This will be the Summer Solstice or the beginning of Summer. (Winter Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere). Summer Solstice literally  means Solar Pause. At that time the axis is tilted as far as it will go towards the sun and at "high noon" for the next couple of days the sun will be in the same apparent spot. After this 4 day apparent pause, the Earths axis will begin to move back to it's least tilt which will occur in December. At the end of May we had the Meteorological beginning of Summer when the weather begins to change to their summer pattern and tomorrow will be the the start of Astronomical Summer.  From here, the length of "days" will get shorter until December when we will see another solstice. But thats a story for then.

Monday will also feature a full "Strawberry" moon -- the name comes from the belief that strawberry-picking season is at its peak during this time of the year, according to the Farmer's Almanac. Monday's full moon, which is also called the Mead Moon or the Rose Moon, is the only night in the month when the moon is in the sky all evening long. Normally, throughout the June month, the moon shares some time with the daytime sky. I have been reading some articles that have been posted that cry doom as they always do when there is an Astronomical event. I wont post them here but some them  are kinda funny. Just look up Summer Solstice and you can find them. I didn't see anything noteworthy or what I would call plausible but thats just me.

So again Happy Fathers day. If unlike me, your father is still available, give him a call or if like me he is watching from above, do a bit of "knee-mail" All in all, enjoy the day and don't overdo. Thank you for all the pictures WC and everyone and for  Breakfast. All i have is coffee but theres enough for all.
Love ya all!

God, I love your posts, Serenity.  They are deep and dimensional even between the lines.

I wish you would consider starting a podcast.  Even just once a month would be cool.  Not wanting to, because you may be too busy is understandable.  But thinking no one would like it, well then, you're just wrong.  Expect this old wheel to squeak about it periodically. ;)

lol -- I agree; I enhanced the picture as best as I could ... and I still was unable to see a 'sign' .... I know I got old eyes also -- but I do think we need WhiteCrow to point it out to all of us!

Sorry about that.. I had been burning threw $25 of data a day while in Poland.. I'm spoiled from having unlimited data in US... I download a picture resizing app and used it for the first time .. here is a cropped version of the original sized picture...

Speaking of Vodka, actor Anton Yelchin died. He played Kyle Reese in Terminator and Checkov in the new Star Trek. He was 27. Rest in peace among the stars Anton
