LOL - that would be a hoot. :)
But really, they weren't each others' nemesis as some writers would lead you to believe. Despite their differences, they were still cordial with each other - although Edison was a bull-headed lout and empirical experimenter, whereas Tesla worked things out in his head through visualization first.

Side Note: An anagram of 'nemesis' is 'siemens' - you guys should love this...     Not only is siemens  the derived unit of electrical conductance ( the electric conductance in a body that has a resistance of one ohm, )  but Siemens is also a major electrical / Industrial supplier.

Here's a nice little resource that's been around for a while...    The Problem of Increasing Human Energy

but didn't Edison fuck Tesla out of $50000 he promised him for improving his DC motor design, which, of course, Tesla did?  ???

Yep and $50000 back then is worth about a million dollars today.

Nikola got fucked over financially more than once, but I don't think he looked at money the way most people do. He valued friendship more than money. The royalties from his horsepower generation would have sunk Westinghouse, so Nikola tore up the contract.

Edit: Indirectly, Edison fucked him over again. The 'War of the Currents' caused the situation linked above.

Yeah, I'm familiar with Edison's elephant killing period.  ::) :D

I also know Tesla marched to his own beat. By his own account he castrated himself to avoid the distraction of sex. On my worst day I'd never attempt to crack my own eggs.  :o

LOL - that was a totally different era of time. Nikola was a big believer in population control and Eugenics, but then again, most people at that time were.
I haven't heard that one before - the self castration.

Edit: Here it is...  https://www.uvm.edu/~lkaelber/eugenics/

"  American eugenics refers inter alia to compulsory sterilization laws adopted by over 30 states that led to more than 60,000 sterilizations of disabled individuals. Many of these individuals were sterilized because of a disability: they were mentally disabled or ill, or belonged to socially disadvantaged groups living on the margins of society. American eugenic laws and practices implemented in the first decades of the twentieth century influenced the much larger National Socialist compulsory sterilization program, which between 1934 and 1945 led to approximately 350,000 compulsory sterilizations...  "

LOL - from what I've read, he didn't start avoiding the fairer sex until around 30. Apparently, he was quite the stud before that.

Yeah, I believe he was even associated with some female celebs from back then, Sarah Bernhardt being one, I think.

Hey, does anyone have an epub or pdf version of My Inventions: The Autobiography of Nikola Tesla?

Yeah, more of an engineering article for calculating wavelengths and hardware aspects.  ;)
Lots of actual testing of those principals on that site - many broken links to the pictures though. (Copyright removal ?)

2 Books printed in the 70's by the Tesla museum in Belgrade. Out of my former library of a couple thousand books I managed to hang on to these two and 2 other books. Sorry for how they got posted I was not sure that they got posted. One is all Tesla's patent papers and the other is the work he did on broadcasting power that he did in 1899 in Colorado Springs.
Tesla sold Polyphase AC patents to Westinghouse. Original deal was $1 per horse power generated or used. J.P. Morgan had bought up control of Westinghouse and was forcing Westinghouse out of his company over the contract with Tesla. To help his friend Westinghouse, Tesla tore up his contract. Edison was pretty much under Morgan's control by then as Morgan controled General Electric. Later when Tesla started to build Wardencliff lab and tower to make practical use of his Colorado Springs experiments. Morgan got "wind" of Teslas plan to broadcast power that's when  Morgan pulled the financial plug.
