Sredni Vashtar was bored one day

Came here and decided to stay

In a game of wits

He'll cut you to bits

He's our grandmaster of wordplay

GravitySucks is out of town and asked me to post the birthday wishes he composed for you in this poem:   

Ode to Ferret

When visiting London there's a thing on a list
That definitively should not, must not be missed.
A silver tongued ferret is something to see
While he belittles a norther by the name of YP.

Vashtar - the bard, author, wordsmith or poet
You would pass him on the street and really not know it.
But watch for subtle signals of where he has been
Those are tell tale signs of where he will trod once again.

His age is progressing, and he's growing quite old
He once bantered with giants and could write tome after tome
These days his writings mundane as the ashes grow cold
He shakes with disdain watching Falkie youtubes at home.

Every once in awhile you can see him about
He slithers down roadways, hides in shadows, acts coy.
Some say he is wicked, obtuse, perverse, or a lout.
Others think he simply is seeking his buddy, BellBoy.

Now birthdays aren't special, as one really might think
Life's Participation Trophy is all that they are.
For that we don't grant Sredni Vashtar any special esteem
But if we catch him outdoors we'll have a drink at the bar.

We will toast to his health whether it is fair or poor
He will rant on about colonists and we will cheer him along.
But sooner or later the chap will become quite the bore
With YP as tenor we strike up the band and sing him a song.

It's a year just like last year. Actually, just plus a one
Another year for the ferret, how many remain?
Now dash away commoners and let the poor rascal rest
Let's head up to Scotland aboard the next train.
