its sad and very upsetting!!!!!

It pisses me off.  A lot to throw away.  It seems to me that Art didn't/doesn't care enough to keep it going; his fans cared about it --- the show and what it represented for us --- more than he did.

It's just about water under the bridge now, and I am moving on, but it's just so pathetic that this is how it all ends.  And then the bait to try to stem the flow of TT cancellations by insinuating that he might do some guest hosting.  (That I'll believe when I see).

He pretty much proved what some of us "trolls" said during the gabcast. The clearly stated that even if the stalker was caught and was no longer a issue he would not go back to hosting the show fulltime.
This makes no sense to me considering that he claims he loves doing this and that it was even MITD was the most fun he had during his career.

Yes, it's a huge contradiction that proves one of his statements is a lie.  I think it probably just comes down to that he's old and it was too hard on him to do a 3 hour show five nights a week.  If he hadn't departed so abruptly, he could come back to do 1-2 nights a week and he could still -- if he wanted to.  I'd probably listen, even though my opinion of his character is now lower than low.

This whole enterprise -- all the efforts of fans to launch the show, the show itself and the network -- depended on one weak link. Then, when that link got broken, for whatever reason, there was no contingency plan and nobody able to step in, stabilize the situation and work out a way forward that might succeed.

"Risky Business" -- the radio show. (Except, no hooker with a heart of gold to help a guy out.)
