An ARMY/NAVY match, go ARMY...  doh!

Yes, I wanted Caddock to win too.  The poor guy had been gassed in WWI.

What is it about the "Gasoline Alley" comic that reminds me of the "Zippy the {zika-virus baby}" comic?

1913 Merriam-Webster dictionary said "tonsor" was archaic, according to the web. I like that they used it and also put peeve in quotations, as it is considered "colloquial."

Someone was mad after getting a bad haircut?

Time for a drink. I hear it will help keep away the common cold, toothache, and reverse male pattern baldness if taken in sufficient quantities for "medicinal reasons."  ;)

Haha.  That doc is kind of a hard ass, not giving his friends prescriptions for the 'cure'.  I remember reading somewhere that people who drank gin weren't prone to catching the Spanish flu of 1918.

I wonder if a little "self medication" might keep me safe from the Corona virus?  ;)

Certainly worth a try.  I had a blood draw last week and the cute little technician asked if I had recently returned from China.  She wasn't getting personal or anything.  They are asking all the patients that question.
