BBC News - German WWI wreck Scharnhorst discovered off Falklands

Ok, 105 years ago, but still a cool find.  The Battle of the Falklands Islands was the first major naval victory for the Royal Navy since Trafalgar.
It looked remarkably intact for a century under salt water. It also looked like a really heavy duty hull from the "before" picture...

Apparently, early cars including the Model T were designed to run on any old fermentation until Rockefeller got involved. He was the main funder of the Temperance League. He wanted alcohol banned because it was competing with his investment in petroleum and he didn’t believe in competion, only in eliminating it. I saw a decent video on this awhile ago but I can’t find it right now. It might have been someone on Rogan who laid out the historical case for this theory.

Interesting to note that DeForest Kelley got his start playing in westerns, among them, the 1957 film, Gunfight at the O.K. Corral.  One of the final episodes in the original Star Trek had him playing as outlaw Tom McLaury, one of the Clanton gang, who fought it out at the original OK Corral.  The episode was called Spectre of the Gun.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spectre_of_the_Gun

A professional wrestling match exactly 100 years ago.   The match was filmed by pioneer cinematographer Freeman Harrison Owens, and is currently the oldest surviving film of a professional wrestling match.  I advise fast forwarding to the fifteen minute mark, when the footage becomes a little easier to view.  Earl Caddock vs Joe Stecher.  Stecher won the match.

Cool footage. Not a single hard hat to be found. Beams wrapped with a strap and an open "S" hook. No high visibility vests.

What is it about the "Gasoline Alley" comic that reminds me of the "Zippy the {zika-virus baby}" comic?
