Video Gaming

The game Iâ€™ve been into lately is something that was a Japanese phenomenon in the mid 80s but barely registered a blip here. Itâ€™s called The Tower of Druaga and itâ€™s in many ways the predecessor to games like Zelda and RPGs in general, which is odd for me because I usually donâ€™t go for these type of games at all. However, itâ€™s arcadey enough to keep it fun. Iâ€™ll admit Iâ€™m using a walkthrough with this one. Normally, Iâ€™d be loathe do such a thing but this game is notorious for not giving you any idea whatsoever of what youâ€™re supposed to do to achieve the objectives of each floor of the tower. Sometimes itâ€™s something like you need to touch the left wall and then the right wall to get what you need but the game gives no indication of that or even forces you in any way into discovering this. Instead it leaves up to you to stumble into these objectives through exploration but each floor is timed so unless you know what to do youâ€™re not going to make it very far. I still find it fun though because of the challenge of beating the timer and the obstacles the game throws in your way. Recommended!

It's a bit hard going back to console shooters without things like crouch or dual stick controls, but this game is a classic.

The video you replied to was replaced with a new one because the first was accidentally 720p and looked really washed out. The one posted above was streamed at 1080p 60fps, but it doesn't look much better when the image has lots of movement. Gonna have to crank this machine up...

I see what you mean. Not knowing the game, I thought it was supposed to have kind of a murky, washed out look to it.

I'm considering doing a live stream of Cyberpunk 2077. It's the highly anticipated game by Cd Projekt Red. I played their Witcher Trilogy and was so impressed that I would buy anything they make. The Witcher trilogy is a single player RPG set in another world in what would be, I guess, medieval Europe here but with magic. If you're broke and like that kind of stuff you'll definitely get your moneys worth with that trilogy, there's a lot of content.

Anyway, here's one of the trailers for Cyberpunk 2077. It's coming out in September:

It's definitely a shooter. You'll probably love it if you're into that genre. I'll play it, maybe I'll come to like shooters more than I do. I usually don't like getting shot at.
