My bitching about the 4.99 might come off incredibly cheap, but when you live in a 3rd world country like mine, for the equivalent of those 5 US Dollars I would've spent on my now cancelled subscription, I can feed myself for an entire week.

I'm kinda going back to thinking groceries might be a better bet than Redacted as fill in.

By piggy backing off Falkies wi-fi connection, I managed to come up with the 5 bucks most months up till now.

Since Art's gone I'm living lavishly on the finest white sliced bread and gallon milk sacks money can buy.

I only hope Art doesn't return to soon, or I may have to sell my body to make rent and afford the hefty re-subscription.

Why anonymous? I can't add a poll to an existing thread. Plus I'm not sure if this forum has a poll function...never tried.

I just finished DL'ing all of Art's MITD shows.

Checked my paypal and my TT payment went through a couple of days ago for the next month so I will let that stand in support for Keith and DMDN.

After that I am cancelling, although I will keep my subscription to OSOM for now as I find the show highly entertaining and some good and different radio. I guess none of that will matter if Keith folds DMDN.

I just can't get into Heather doing MITD. As I have posted elsewhere, I find her tone, manner and cadence not conducive to this genre, late night radio for my ear. I didn't like her the first time she played "Robin" to Art in a Stern kind of format and that certainly hasn't changed for me listening to her host entire programs....and yes, I have listened to give her a fair chance. 

I think she is bright, brave, loyal to Art and I give her huge kudos for that, however I will not pay to listen to her being an amateur with no experience and only because she is a member here, because of the above.

As many have said, there are a plethora of podcasts out there in this same genre with same subject, guests where a more seasoned host does a better job.

I would like to support Keith, however I am in principle not financially going to support Heather's training wheels and especially to support Art's dangling another carrot to keep people paying in case he decides to show up once in a while, unannounced after he allegedly "hung up the mic", "won't be on tonight or any other night", did NOT retire, but ....well you know the rest.

Don't know what Art was thinking when he gave her his chair. His audience did not like or want her when she first "co-hosted" MITD, yet despite that he gave her his show?!?!

Heather, please know that what I have written here is of no disrespect to you, JMHO.

I wish you nothing but all things good going forward if that is with MITD or with your future pursuits.

As MV said, it wouldn't matter who took over the microphone on MITD after Art quit...AGAIN, for most it would never be the same and most would bail.

Heather be proud of your determination, your courage, your intellect, your loyalty to Art, this genre in taking on what you have. For this, I give you + 1M with mucho respect and best of wishes.
