I hope it's not a tendon pulling away from your bone. Might want to see a doctor. They'll give you a shot and a stretchy thing to put on your elbow until the tendon decides to attach again.

What does the "stretchy thing" do?  Does it prevent the wearer from flexing his/her elbow?

I'll ask my friend tomorrow exactly what it does. From what I can see it's just a tight stretchy tube that fits over his elbow. It's about six inches long. He can bend his arm with it on.

It seems to have worked though, along with the cortisone shots. He was in real pain before and couldn't work.
