By the way, I'm still have to go back a week and read everything. I will be commenting and laughing at old posts. Just warning.

Just delete them like you usually do as soon as we are done laughing.

Did you get the impression he knew what he was talking about?

Very much so when it came to neuroscience and physics. There are some detailed posts in the astrophysics thread that really made me have to go look stuff up.

Maybe I'm having a stroke, that doesn't make sense to me.

I guess it was almost two different thoughts. You are a chronic post deleter. So, to feed your habit, if you are going to delete your new posts about our old posts, you may do so, but only when we are done laughing at your new posts about our old posts.

I don't think there were any good posts in this thread the past week. The Hoagie thread had some great posts.

OH, Hahahaha, That is really funny then. It's true, I am a chronic deleter.

nah, it's just that at this point, i don't see why this or the hoagland thread should be prioritized over any other podcast.  when/if art hosts, we'll set up a separate thread for that broadcast in the live thread archive, but that's about it.

Seems sensible to me.  Plus it's your house.  Rearrange the furniture however you want.  :D  ;)

Don't you live in a shed?

Not any more.  My soul was freed.  However, my current apartment could be described as a shed though.  It has a lot more amenities though.   ;)

*sigh*  That was a problem......LOL!  I've learned to appreciate it it though.  (as my eyes tick repeatedly)

One of the Saturday night hosts did a show on Making a Murderer a couple of months or so ago.

I won't complain about tonight's show not being "paranormal" or "fringe" enough.
However, for once (though not in the main case, as I recall, mentioned in this) you CAN for once make a case for racism, or more properly income-inequality, with regard to the criminal justice system.

I probably shouldn't admit this but I bought the box set of Jimmy Buffet. One CD was about beaches, the other about bars, another about boats. There was four but I don't remember what the last one was. My favorite was the boats one. One time when I was driving across the country I decided to listen to every single one of my cd's. The Jimmy Buffet section was rough!

Haha did your old neighbor convince you to buy it?

Haha, you mean the kids that listened to Crash Test Dummies? No, it was my own decision. I love boats and some of his music reminds me of when I worked on them, as dorky as it is.

When with guests she is getting better, in the past few days. Her speculations on news and laws and open-lines, often, are still very, very weak. But she seems to be getting better with guests. The extra hours have not helped, especially if guests still are only one for a limited time.

Her "Magic Mushrooms" stuff was ridiculous. "It took 6months of redtape and "hoops" to get a study" for these highly controlled drugs (she didn't know what the British regulatory system was though and quickly scanned article). Even though the stuff grows anywhere, well in certain places on certain stuff (ha ha) and, as I recall, sometimes (I think this was changed recently in Britain spores used to be legal?) You know how long it takes to get a medical study of even perfectly legal existing stuff, or purely psychological studies, or especially any 'new' drug??! Even with the obvious consent? Let's just go more quickly? 6months is nothing. She is bizarre. What about ensuring the study methodology is good? What about ensuring it hasn't been done? What about ensuring there could be no adverse or contraindications? The insurance etc. Taking patient histories, etc to ensure good subjects? Then applying to the various universities, government offices, etc. I'm amazed if anyone could get a study going in 6months, of almost anything!

Juan

I was surprised she had never heard of Leonard Pelitier.

She is young(ish) I think? And the Feds have tried to keep his stuff out of the mainstream or even the non-mainstream news for a while.

The first time I heard of him I was in a music store and there was a flyer there about helping to free him. I tend to read all these threads from the beginning and I think it was MV that posted a video or statement about another perspective of the ordeal way back in the primal ooze of this forum. I think it sucks if the Peltier version is true than this other viewpoint arises, meaning one of them is a lie.

What version is someone supposed to believe?!

The Pine Ridge and all the AIM stuff went down in the late 70's, if you don't live in the area or in an area with lots of "Injuns" I could see a 40 year old witch, who doesn't like news or politics, not knowing about him (or AIM and all the incidents etc.) Especially there are so many more recent outrages, or supposed outrages, and the government not wanting folks to look into him (and worse the conditions, corruption, sexual abuse, and various issues on Indian lands- sometimes with some Indians involved even.)

JesusJuice

Everything I know about Leonard Peltier I learned from the RATM music video. I was in high school when it came out. You're only three years older than me, Heather. No excuses.

Fair enough.  But I'm sure she's probably listened to Rage Against the Machine a few times in her life....Or, have at least saw the music videos.  ;) LOL!

If all that is true than the other side is so lame on so many different levels.

This one always makes me feel like I'm floating on the ocean in my own makeshift little raft or something.  ;)
