Bob, I've been on team Heather but she does indeed seem to be saying, fuck all y'all, I'm going to keep on reading news bites from the networks.

It would be different if she would at least stop pretending to be neutral, or had an interesting angle...all she ever says is "this is interesting" "I'm just watching" IF SHE IS JUST WATCHING LET THE BIG PEOPLE TALK AND SHUT UP.

I'm not going to be a 5 hr listener anyway. She could put the politics at the end and I'd be happy.

5 hrs. I thought was nuts.  Opening with an hour of "open lines" (notionally no-topic but usu. not actually so) displeased me, though I could see a segment of audience going for it.  But then steering the discussion to politics is the last thing the show needed.

Art Bell used to open, more often than not as I recall, with open phones.  Sometimes he'd preface it with some remarks about politics or other events of the day.  But Ms. Wade seems to have resorted to it as something she can rest on easily.  Well, guess what, Redacted?  RADIO TALK IS SATURATED WITH THAT!!  Did you think the people who'd phone in to MITD would for some reason present that much different a perspective on politics that we'd go, "Hmmm...I never thought of that before."?
